Hello all. I've been reading your posts on and off for years. Finally registered and am hoping to get some help.

I have been doing facial exercises on and off minimally for years and am hitting a wall. I really need to take some action. I want help w/ bone loss / mouth area / jowls showing up / nose lengthening, and puffy under eyes. I have looked at a few programs and have done really itty bitty parts of several, but 3 days ago started with FlexEffect again.

I loved how the FlexEffect felt (like I'm really targetting things) and I love the concept of really strengthening skin and building bone, but I am getting some small breakouts -- and last night I noticed a fold / bulge in the inner part of one of my upper lids. Oddly, I seem to remember this happening years ago when I tried this program. I'm basically wanting to know if this is a danger sign or something to work through.

Frankly, it's scary to me. I am trying to look better - not get more problems.

Has anyone ever had this happen? Any idea why? I really want to to get something regular into my routine even if it means piecing together several programs so I could really use guidance.

From what I am reading, many of you have had issues w/ every program out there. Am I correct? In reading your entries I find myself agreeing over and over - as in seeing Before and After photos that aren't compelling, people who say that they love the program but don't look good, not seeing Before and Afters at all of some of the people who own the programs or feeling that their good looks are all about genetics, etc.

Anyhow, I could use some help. I'm trying to get on FlexEffect's forum but it seems there aren't many people on there any longer. I'm working on getting on the workshop but there seems to be a glitch.

Side note - this isn't just about me. I have a large health blog so I would really like to bring this information to the public once I find something I like. So many ladies are looking for an alternative to surgery and I would like to help with that.

Thanks in advance! Smile

There are some helpful folks on the forum there but I do think there seems to be less people now than used to be. Also the trainers all seemed to have vanished. However Deb’s been answering posts so you may want to post there and see if she can help you.

Now with programs, its helpful to follow one completely. I did this in the early days and it gave me a great basis to start. Nowadays I mode my own routine with exercises from different programs, but in the beginning I think its important to have a proper program while you are learning your own face.

Now breakouts can happen for a variety of reasons. Namely you are increasing the circulation to areas, so toxins that have been hidden are getting released. It is good to have good skincare program also in place, but this should be short lived. Now with the fold on the eyelids, are you massaging the lids? I don’t know why I left the massage out so long, because I now love it so much. I think you should try massaging the fold and the lids. It doesn’t sound like a danger sign, but if you are really worried I’d get help from Deb or the trainers there.

Don’t piece together several programs till you have done one program fully for about 6 months, because you need to learn your own face first. If you piece together several programs, you can effect changes that are not to your liking and then it takes a great deal of time to work out which is the cuase and how to undo it. Once you know your face, you can do so but take the time to learn your face first.
