A few days ago I made the Hair lemon volume spray (Russian recipe) I got from here.
I was very excited, because my hair it's behaving so badly lately. I lost hair often, it looks thin, dehydrated, lifeless, porous and generally ugly. I live in a humid place (Mediterranean) and in summer it's imposible for me to have a decent hair day.
First time I used it undiluted and on dry hair. I didn't like it. My hair felt sticky. If you want to achieve a wet hair look, then it's perfect. But I just wanted a natural look, but more volume and no frizz, as promised.
I diluted it and used on wet hair. Then blow dried it. This is more what I was looking for. My hair looks thicker than it is, and it gave me a nice volume. Overall my hair looks much better. I used it on a humid rainy day at a family gathering and I must say that I had some frizziness but was the less "frizzed" girl in there. Also my hair looked shiny and healthy. A few people asked me if I was better LOL (I have a chronic illness and that makes me look tired and older) So no, I'm not in better health shape, but my hair behaves as if I were. Great! For me it's important to like myself.
So, right now, I love this product. Love that it's all natural, homemade and gosh! so cheap.
The only thing that worries me is that I don't know if this can be bad for my hair (drying?) or scalp (photosensitive?) on the long term. What do you think? Have you used it long term? |

Pre-shampoo oils (coconut and olive oil) for weak, frizzy, dehydrated hair. Henna for white hairs. Water and ACV for final rinse. These are the things that WORKS for me at the moment. |

I'm still using this lemon spray (I think I will never stop using it) I try to shampoo my hair just 2 times a week. Generally on the third day my hair starts to be a bit greasy, but since I'm using this spray (all over my hair and scalp) my hair last longer fresh.
This spray + hot blow dry + argan oil it's giving me the most beautiful hair I ever had. Not frizzy, it has more volume, lot's of shine and it's super-natural looking.
BUT, I'm still worried that such a concentrated quantity of lemon can damage my hair or scalp in the long term.
If you have used this, please, let me know your thoughts on it.
