Does anyone know which celebrities/models use which scincare lines? Or a site that lists who uses what? Just thought it's be interesting to see what those in the spotlight use Smile

Hi Mailnat - Gosh, I only know what I've read in the ragmags....I *think* I recall reading that Paris Hilton uses Creme de la Mer...and Meg Ryan too....and that Pamela Anderson uses the Skinmedica TNS Recovery Complex...
That's all I can recall at the moment! Very Happy

What I have read is that Pamela Anderson uses Jurlique herbal recovery gel. Anglie Jolie uses Jo Malone. Faith Hill uses IS Clinical. I know there is many more, I will have to keep thinking.

I've read that Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston use La Mer. Many use Mario Badescu.

I think they all use creme de la mer to one degree or another. I know Faith Hill uses IS Clinical and I read that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston use pints of TNS Recovery Complex....

Diamond Beauty used to have a list of what skincare and haircare products were used by various celebrities, and the fashion rags are always running stuff. I'm always interested in what products the make-up artists use. Some real surprises there - and some real money savers....

Some of Hollywood’s top names are SkinCeuticals fans:

• When Britney Spears went on vacation to Australia, she popped into a local spa with her mother and stocked up on her SkinCeuticals favourites, including Topical Vitamin-C Serum 15, Primacy Face Cream and Eye Balm, Hydrating B5 Gel and Body Polish
Debra Messing doesn’t leave home without her dropper bottle of SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel. According to Messing, it is “an everyday must”
Thandie Newton has her Los Angeles facialist to thank for getting her hooked on SkinCeuticals eye creams, eye balms and topical vitamin-c serums
• During her fishing trips in the Florida Keys, Jane Seymour applies SkinCeuticals sunscreens to protect her fair skin from damaging UVB and UVA rays. “I didn’t get burned. I only put it on once” exclaimed Seymour
• Other long time fans of SkinCeuticals products also include catwalk diva Naomi Campbell and television icon Kirstie Alley

When I used to go to Sonya Dakar, she said that Drew Barrymore, Kirsten Dundst (sp?), Cameron Diaz and Debra Messing were her top clients. While I was there Patricia Heaton (Everybody Love Raymond) and Alicia Keyes came in. However, her products were very expensive and really didn't do much for me. Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dundst were blessed with perfect skin and Patricia Heaton had work done to her face. Cameron Diaz and Alicia Keyes seemed to be prone to break outs.

I've also read about Jennifer Anniston using Kinerase, Bo Derek endorses TNS skin medica serum, etc. Meg Ryan has had work done so she probably uses product from her doctor. Thing is, companies pay up to $10K to have their products in the "goodie bags" or SWAG given at all the award shows and dinners. This way they can say that "so-and-so uses our products ..."

The only product I consistently see/hear about on set is la mer.

I'd read that cameron diaz has really bad acne and has real problems keeping it under control. I told mini-me this thinking it may make her feel better to be in such company. BIG mistake! She now thinks she is stuck with bad skin for life. Me and my big gob Sad

I got skinceuticals cos I read that Kim Catterall uses it. I figure, if it works on her, It'll work on me! Very Happy

I've seen people have good results with Pro-Activ Solution for Acne. Also for those allergic to benzoyl peroxide, the Murad line has been pretty good.

I'm sceptical I wonder how many celebrities are endorsed by the product companies!!!
Would it persuade you to get a product if you thought a celebrity with gorgeous skin used it!!
Yes i've been sucked in myself
I think a lot of it is put down to good genetics and a good make-up artist when you see pictures of them caught unawares they just look ordinary.

I recently got a cd in the mail hosted by Nicolette Sheridan boosting a product called NuGlow (NOT NuSkin). They sent along a sample of their product - a copper peptide serum with antioxidants. I checked out their website as well. Can't say I was terribly impressed....

do ya'll like nicolette sheridan's skin? I don't know I have mixed feelings - I remember her from her younger Knot's Landings days - so I'm undecided whether I'm biased or not about her skin looking old.

I heard Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston buy Kinerase by cases, Oprah Winfrey uses Decleor and Halle Berry uses Dinur Peeling cream (http://www.sophia-online.com/halleberry.html). Pro Active has Jessica Simpson's pic all over there commercials and displays.

Madonna uses botox ... hee hee. I saw one of the shots from a print ad she did before it was re-touched digitally and her skin is getting a bit thin these days.

This is what I remember from reading magazines:
Nicole Kidman uses Jurlique
Halle Berry uses IS Clinical
Brat Pitt uses Dr. H

I'm starting to think that they use whatever happens to be in those free giftbags they get whenever they appear at an event or someone's party -- did you know that the party host is supposed to provide gift bags for the guests?!?!?!

I read all the time in fashion or celeb magazines that so-and-so uses such-and-such, and when I try the product myself I find it's a bunch of crap and a waste of money so it's gotten to the point where I don't take the bait anymore and rush out to buy whatever just because the IT-girl of the moment swears by it. I'd rather find my own treasures....

That's no lie -- the ones they handed out to presenters for the Golden Globe Award on Monday had $50K worth of stuff, including special edition bling-bling diamond jewelry created by jeweler-to-the-stars Neil Lane.

The gift bags for the Oscars are normally worth twice that amount! They also have gratuity suites set up with all kinds of free designer gear where you can go "shop" for which freebies you want.

How ironic is it that those who can actually afford to buy all that sh*t are the ones that get it for free?!

I agree with you Carrie! They get all sorts of wonderous toys in those gift bags ... and yet they could all afford to go out and buy that stuff. Where are the gift bags for we peasants? Laughing

However, I don't care which celebrity endorses which product. It's immaterial to me because I am not convinced that a celebrity has any more idea of what works and why as anyone else. I certainly don't assume that some celebrity has a better handle on what might or might not work on my skin!

I don't know why celebrities are imbued with more savvy than the rest of us! It's the same thing with political or ecological issues. Why does anyone assume that a given celebrity has a better handle on the issues than the "average" person on the street?

Let's not forget that if a celebrity endorses a product, that celebrity is paid for that endorsement ... either by getting the product free or by direct payment.

The manufacturer is hoping that we average consumers will be stupid enough to buy into the preverse logic.

Nope ... I'll stick to what works for me ... and leave the airbrushing to the stars! Laughing

Mary
