| I had pretty bad acne as a kid, and it has thankfully cleared up 95% for years now. They have faded considerably but I still have a bumpy surface to my face. Does anyone know if this ever goes away? Is there anything I can do (short of getting a procedure done) to remedy this condition? TIA! |

Are you open to laser procedures? (I don't know if you meant actual surgery you were wanting to avoid.)
Dermatologists tend to prescribe a retinoid and glycolic acid not to eliminate acne scarring, but alleviate its appearance. Please make an appointment, and I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to e-mail me if you've any questions or need encouragement: sheila@sugarfreesheila.com. |

you could try epidermx as well (but perhaps not at the same time as peels). I'm sure someone here had good results on clearing up acne scarring with it.

| Chimera - have you tried AHA peels? Or tried a strongish AHA treatment of some sort? AHA exfoliates the surface of the skin so it can smooth things out. I guess it depends on how bumpy the surface is though. Have you considered seeing a Derm for just an initial consultation to see what your non-procedure options would be? |
