Any African Americans using the Obagi products?
If so, how long have you used it? What side effects did you have? |

I am AA too and am wondering if the product would be any good for our skin as well. It was highly recommended by Dr. Adrienne Denese in her book "Dr. Denese's Secrets for Ageless Skin" On pages 107 and 108 she explains that she has found this to be the best product/program for AA skin that has discolorations. She said that the only time she has seen it fail is when people skipped steps in the program. She also mentioned that the peeling and redness would occur as well. I am going to try her Cellular Firming Serum before trying Obagi. It has arbutin and hydroquinone in it, so I hope that it is effective. If that does not help within a month I will save up to get on the Obagi system. |

Hi there,
My mother is a dermatologist and she definitely does not recommend using Obagi (period) and definitely not on AA skin. It is a very harsh product and can have the tendency to lighten African American skin....
