Hi Carrie,

Bless ya for sharing the recipe with us! Very Happy Cool

I have never tried Dr Hauschka's CC, so I don't know what exactly I should be expecting, but here are some questions I hope you can answer:

What do you store the CC in, and how long does a batch last? Do you have to keep it in the fridge (that would be a drawback...)and can you use it everyday, in the way that you would with the original DHCC?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Carrie (carekate)! I have a question for you too... I just made my first batch of "Dr. Hollands" cleansing cream (thanks for sharing your recipe!) and I was wondering about what the consistency is supposed to be since I 've also never used Dr. Haushka's. I think I might have gotten a little overzealous with the almonds. I know you said you usually grind about 12 almonds, and that some people prefer about 1/2 tsp oil per tsp of almonds. Is it supposed to be more oily or more "mealy". Just curious.

Thanks again! Very Happy

I think I'd describe Dr H cleansing cream as equal parts oily and mealy. It's a thick paste with very fine meal. I usually squeeze some out into my palm and mix it with water so that I can apply it to my face. Perhaps you have a local health food store with testers? You could always check it out and compare how the consistancy should be.
