I love this product. At first I was wary of a cream based exfoliator with no grains, but I heard that grains can be too harsh for some people's skin. This product really works especially if used frequently. I also put it on for a little bit longer than it calls for especially on problem areas. I feel it does a good job of sloughing dead skin and makes skin smooth.

The above post is a review of the following product available at EDS:
Decleor Phytopeel - Face Peel (50 ml / 1.7 oz.)
Decleor Phytopeel - Face Peel (50 ml / 1.7 oz.)

Phytopeel - Face Peel. Here is one in the form of a pretty, pearly cream, containing clay, which deep cleanses and smooths your skin. Freed from is impurities, your skin regains its radiance and its texture is refined.
Key ingredients: Essential oils of majoram, lavender, lemon, thyme, extracts of burdock, elder and mallow.
No particles: the exfoliating effect comes from ingenious formulation. Use circular movements to sweep away the dead cells, remove the excess with tonic. Results: gentle treatment for your skin.

I liked this product as well. Though I found that it was harder to remove it if you've left it on for too long and let it dry completely. I gave this to my mum and she loves it.

Yeah, I usually put it on my face and sometimes my back and remove it in the shower.

Have you tried Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant -I just wonder if Decleor Phytopeel is very different or about the same..? Have you tried them both so you can compare? Mabsy, maybe? Smile

Hi Siri,

I haven't tried the Dermalogica one so I can't compare but I wonder if they are the same type of product though.... I think the Dermalogica one is simply rinsed off after some time. With the Decleor one you're supposed to massage your face in small circular motion. This causes the mask and supposedly any impurities stuck to the mask to 'ball' off your skin. It's quite messy but fun! Smile

Sorry, to clarify, they ARE the same type of product because they are exfoliators, but they use different techniques. But I don't know which one does a better job.

Thank you Mabsy, I think I have to get the PhytoPeel with my next order! Smile It sounds like an efficient way to deep-clean. I am not so impressed with Dermalogica unfortunately, although it does its' job.

Siri,

YonKa also has a similar product to the Phytopeel (same application and removal process). From Magda's description it's got a gel-type texture (the Phytopeel has a pearly more creamy texture).

The YonKa product is called Gommage 303. I haven't tried it myself.

I recently started using this again after abandoning it for a more traditional type of exfoliant. My skin had become dried out and broken out this fall, so I have scaled back on harsh products to try to fix the mess that I made of my skin.

I really like this mask. I put it on in the morning three times a week. I tend to use a generous amount and let it dry for five to ten minutes. It is a lot of fun to rub it off of my face Laughing I just used my fingers to rub the product off of my skin and follow with a water rinse. It definitely works to exfoliate without being harsh on my skin. My skin looks so healthy and clear after using this. My only issue with it is that I go through a lot of it quickly, but I have a back-up tube so I shouldn't have to repurchase for a while.
