You know how there's been a boom in getting everyone healthy and saying we should walk 10,000 steps a day? Well since I work in an office and don't walk round as much as I used to when working elsewhere/uni etc I've bought one.
It's now 11.06 and I've done 552 steps! So only 9448 to go
anyone want to join me in a 10,000 a day quest? |

Eve, good for you!! I find my best exercise besides the gym is parking my car where it's free (3 blocks from school), so I burn some calories and save $2 parking per day I do splurge for my night classes as I don't want to walk around at 10pm...but that's only $1 once a week. |

cheers Lianne - I guess the idea is to have a reasonable activity level all the time, no use going to a keep fit class once or twice a week and spend the rest of the time on the couch.
well I went for quick walk at lunch and then for about 30mins after work and I got to about 6800. I hate to think how low it would have been if I hadn't gone for those walks.
I did find myself wanting to walk more with it on which is a good thing. |

I've heard those things can do that to you..
Is it noticeable when you wear it? |

I'm hoping to get one this summer when I'm in Canada. My Mom and sister both have nice ones. MP3 players that fit on the arm and a little pod that goes on the shoe. It tells speed and distance. I'd like one that incorporates a heart rate monitor. I don't need the music though. I run to a specific rhythm and music disrupts that. |
