Hello
I made my simple version of ACV toner but after reading CareKate's Super ACV toner recipe I am considering adding Ylang Ylang Oil to it.
Can you tell me what the benefits of this oil are?
Thanks!

Try adding the Ylang Ylang to the Jojoba Oil to use after toning as an alternative to the Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil |

yalng ylang oil helps to regulate sebum production. According to many people, it works wonders. So therefore, someone with oily skin like me would benefit greatly from it. but since your skin is dry andd sensitive, it is still good but they are better oils i believe that you could add that are more suited to your needs. fore example, lavender has a very soothing effect, calms redness and is great for your sensitive skin! =D well just my two cents worth. but i must say, the super ACV toner is great! i added vit c serum, green tea and vinegar only but im a true convert. in just 3 days, my skin feels so much smoother, looks more even and clear! |

One more thing I wanted to add for Aga....
As Tynkerbell said, using a *lot* Ylang Ylang oil might not be the best choice for your dry/sensitive skin. For example, I wouldn’t recommend that you purchase Decleor’s Aromessence Ylang Ylang Oil or
their Ylang Ylang Balm simply because it’s not right for your particular skin type.
BUT...
There’s no reason that you cannot add 2-3 drops of Y-Y oil to your ACV toner, just to give it a yummy smell and counteract some of the vinegary scent, if you’re one of the people who is bothered by it (adding 2-3 drops of Lemon essential oil, along with the 2-3 drops of Y-Y oil will *completely* counteract the vinegar smell!!). |

Hi CK!
Thanks for the tip!
I was going to ask how you guys deal with the smell
Its great to learn that those oils eliminate it!
I am trying to decide what to add to the ACV as far as what would have the most benefits to my breaking out skin
Where is the best/ affordable place to get the oils? |

Best place to buy oils – I just answered this under another post: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=6173&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
Best oils for your skin type (dry/sensitive with breakouts):
• Geranium
• Lavender
• Lemon
• Palmarosa
• Roman Chamomile
• Rosewood
• Tea Tree Oil (available in the first aid section of most supermarkets/drugstores, including Walmart!!) - this is one essential oil that you can actually use “neat” (i.e.: directly on skin without mixing it in a carrier oil or liquid), such as applying a drop directly to any pimple but be careful not to apply too much all over your face because it can be drying. But it’s great as a ‘spot treatment’ for zits! |

Hi Carrie,
I am going to get the
*Lemon
*Chammomile
*Rosewood
and add those to the ACV toner
Just a couple of drops of each, right?

Right, no more than 2-3 drops of each. |
