Anyone know if you can just order individual sample vs the sample pack? All I want to try is the cleanser...
TIA! |
Hi mtview, you can order 'travel' sizes at the site of the cleansers they are 2 ounces each. |

Hi Lolli,
I am just being cheap because I hate to waste money on yet another bottle of cleanser. I just counted 5 full size cleansers and 2 sample sizes in my medicine cabinet. I can only use 3 out of the 7. I am just hanging on to the rest because I hate tossing my $$$ in the trash |

I can relate, mtview. It really does suck to throw money away, that's what it feels like sometimes. I totally understand, there aren't many things I will buy full sizes of without trying them first. |

Why don't you try swapping the cleansers you don't like on www.makeupalley.com for something you do need?? I haven't used that facility myself (only use the site for product reviews) but I know other ppl from EDS have. |

princesita,
Unfortunately it is hard to ship pump bottles, especially the ones without locking device. Also it is hard to find someone with things I want and vise versa. I normally ended up selling or purchasing the items. |

That is why I wish we could do swap's on here. Most of us use high quality skin care items. I would be totally willing to put a sample size of my PFS cleanser in a container and mailing it to someone in exchange for something else. |

Just wanted to add my tuppence worth and say that the Pumpkin Mask is amazing!!
I just hadn't got round to trying it until recently. I only left it on 3 mins (my skins quite sensitive and it tingled a bit). This gave the same results I would expect from a mechanical exfoliator! I've tried so called peels before and they've been 'ok' but nothing to rave about, this made my skin feel almost like it does post Epidermx treatment (my fav mechanical exfoliator). Because of the tingling I expected my skin to be a bit sensitive/pink the next day but whilst I had a lovely glow initially after doing it, the next morning my skin just looked much brighter and healthier. I even got compliments and asked if I'd had a facial!!! Will leave it on a bit longer next time now I'm feeling more confident! 10/10!
Oh just to ask Darren - is it ok to use the O2 serum after the Pumkin mask? Just wondered if it might sting? (I used an O2 (Herzog) product after a scrub before and it stung - so bit wary though have to say the O2 serum is nothing like the Herzog range and much nicer - although the smell is weird! ) |

Lucia,
Glad you are liking the Pumpkin Peel. As for using the O2 serum afterwards, I have never done it personally myself (just never thought of it!), but I don't see why you couldn't. It actually would probably be quite calming. And unless your skin is very sensitive, I wouldn't imagine that it would sting. As for the smell of the O2 Serum, you're right, it is wierd! I was told by the chief chemical engineer that it is because it is processed & filtered using sodium chloride. And when the skin becomes oxygenated, the sodium chloride ions are exchanged, and that's why it gives off a slkight smell. But I have personally never noticed the smell to linger once the product has been absorbed. I guess it all depends on how much the fragrance of a product matters to you. The O2 Serum was developed for clinical/medical use, so I guess fragrance wasn't an issue when it was developed. If the smell bothers you too much, just contact customer service for a return.

I like to sell the items I end up not liking to. Kind of takes the sting out of buying something that you end up not using. |

I received my PSF Normal to Dry sample pack in the mail last week and I have to agree with everyone on the Pumpkin Mask....yummy scent and left skin feeling soft and smooth. I did not experience any tingle, however, my skin is not very sensitive. In fact, my skin seems to be sensitive only when it's dry, so I was very happy after using this mask, when I didn't experience the dry, tight, "pulling" feeling that normally follows when I use this type of mask. I was reluctant to use the R&R Toning Mist, as many toners have a tendency to dry my skin. Rather than use a cotton pad to apply, I carefully "splashed" a few drops on my face and neck and let dry. This toner did not have a drying effect on my skin. The product I was most anxious to try, the Super Hydrating Eye Treatment, exceeded my expectations. I also love this Eye Cream! It's rich and emollient....just the way I like it! I'm using this AM AND PM. It's rich and creamy, but absorbs nicely into my skin without feeling greasy, or leaving the eye area excessively shiney. I rarely wear concealer, which allows me to apply a bit of eye cream once or twice during the day as well, and I'll have to try this one as my daytime product. I usually use one that is not as rich during the day to prevent racoon eyes from developing, (mascara melt), but this absorbs so nicely, that I may be able to use this for that purpose as well. Because the Emergen-C Repair Serum has hyaluronic acid, I knew that I'd like it. I like the consistency of this c serum better than Skinceuticals C E with Ferulic, which is more watery. The PSF serum smoothed over my skin nicely and absorbed quickly. Too soon to comment on results. (I am in the process of finding a new vit c serum to use long-term, so the timing on an initial trial with this is good)
I have not yet tried the Green Tea Cleanser, the Phto-Gel Cranberry Eye Gel or the O2 Rescue Serum, but will review how they are on my dry skin once I do! (I've never used an oxygen product before and would love to hear more from those who are knowledgeable on them)
oops...almost forgot....regarding the sample containers--after reading about them on this thread, I was very careful in opening them, and did not have a problem, however, I can see how product would spill, and lead over into the hinged area if not aware of this issue. |

I recently also tried the samples. I really liked the healing action of the O2 Rescue serum and have just mailed an order for a full size bottle. I had a scratch on my check and when I put this on it the scratch disappeared in a day. I'm looking forward to using it as a post-peel treatment and to improve the uptake of other actives. |

Hi Darren - Thanks for that!!
No the smell of the O2 serum doesn't bother me as like you say it doesn't linger - besides the results I've got from it far outweigh the interesting scent!! I certainly have no plans to return it!!!
I will maybe put a little bit on after the mask and see how I go!!
Whens the lip plumper/treatment going to be out? |

Lucia,
We are aiming for mid-September for the lip plumper. We weren't happy with the tubes that we purchased, so we are sourcing new ones that will be more user-friendly. |

The Pumpkin Mask is wonderful, Winnie!!! I love it!!! (Just got a big-girl size jar of it!)
Hey, Darren - if you read this - thank you for all the cool samples with my last piggy order- talk about generous!! I think I may be liking the Browtox! I've used it a couple of times and I think my forehead "11" looked smoother. I've got a little of the ADCE left (which I love), but I may have to continue with the Browtox and do a comparison. Looking forward to a lip plumper that actually works for me. Honestly, every kind I've tried has done nothing more than burned my lips, given me a red ring around them, and made me poorer!!!

MariaV,
Glad that you are liking the BrowTox. I have been using it religously around my eyes. My sister teases me now b/c of when I try to squint in the sun. She says i'm a wanna-be squinter. Anyway, about the Plump & Pout, it shouldn't be too irritating. It doesn't contain any of the iritating cinnamon or menthol oils, but the niacin causes blood to flush the lips (which can cause a slight tingling/burning sensation in the lips, but is usually temporary). The plumping effect is not drastic (realistically, only injections will do that), but it does give a gentle plumping effect. It is also very moisturizing, so I think of the gentle plumping as an added extra in a nice lip treatment. There will be samples available, so you can always try it first to see if it is for you.
Well, I better get going - haven't even thought of what to make for dinner!
TTYL,
Darren

Darren, can we use this product around the eye area as well? |

Yes, it is completely safe to use around the eyes. Just try not to get it inside the eye, as it may sting. I use it regularly around my eyes & have never had any problems. |

Darren,
That's interesting then as presumabably if you can prevent the squints you can prevent lines developing?
I've heard of models etc having Botox for this as a preventative measure before they even get any lines. Thing is I've tried some similar products (JB & Absolute by Isomer Labs) and they've made my eyes look awful, dry and crepey which they aren't even wothout any product on - it seemed to relax the muscle and creat drooping! This effect wore off when I stopped the product. Just wondering if its worth trying the browtox - is it going to have a similar drying effect? (I am prone to dehydration around my eyes). Maybe I'll order a sample with the lip plumper when it's available.
Thanks |

Lucia,
I don't know how you will find the Browtox....I do not find it drying, but then again, I go over it with my eye cream or gel. It is not specifically developed for the eye area, but it can be safely used there. Now whether or not it will be hydrating enough for you I cannot predict. Please note though that this is a targeted treatment with a specific purpose. It is not a moisturizer containing a treatment. But yes, you are correct about the premise of the product. The AH3 decreases the intesnity of muscle movement in the face with continued use, and the curare has a more immediate effect. The idea is if you decrease the squinting/scrunching of the face then the resultant lines will not appear, or will not be as pronounced.
As for the drooping, there is no scientific basis for why this would happen. I know that there are some posts on other forums scaring people by saying that AH3 can make your face sag, but truly I feel that the people who posted that just do not understand the science & physiology behind this peptide & how the skin works. Their claims are unscientific & contradictory. Anyway, we would be happy to include a sample with your next order, just please make a note of it on the order form.

IS this line anything like Mychelle?
Thanks! |

Darren,
Thaks for that - it was mainly the JB - initially it seemd greta but it made my eyes look aged - very dry and saggy (similar to how the CP uglies have been described!). Anyway I would use your eye cream over it (or the Cellcosmet sample I just got).
Well as soon as the lip treatment is out I'll be putting in my order!
Thanks Darren - your a mine of information and you always seem to take a balanced view and not just mention your products! You and Winnie (JB) are refreshing in a Beauty world that is so full of folk only interested in pushing their own product line whether it will suit you or not! |

LizaA,
I went & looked at the Mychelle website & their products actually seem to be more similar to the Sircuitskin care line. Our formulations are quite different.
