I asked a question weeks ago about a new product and have waited in vain for a reply (or even an acknowledgement). What's the point of having this forum???? Customer service - I don't think so.

Dear Gayle, thank you for participating in our forums.
I am sorry that I missed your question but I am not always around this forum. I am trying to be here as often as I can.
The point of having this forum is to give our clients a place to exchange their opinions , experiences, tips, and knowledge about skin care. I realize that there are hundreds other forums and discussion groups on the net. What I thought will make our forum unique and different is that since we have thousands of clients using the same skin care lines they might find many common subjects here.
Let me stress it again. Those forums are NOT meant for CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you need prompt service response from us please e-mail us at any e-mail address displayed on our website.

I had a skin care question once and called the 800 number. The women on the phone gave me WONDERFUL advice and took a lot of time with me. The customer service here is terrific!

Just a word of warning to UK customers beware of customs charges. The first time I ordered from EDS I had to pay £11.00 (which is not too bad), the next 4 times there was no charge (don't know why maybe weight). Anyway yesterday my parcel arrived and the charge was going to be £31.00 (which is excessive).
I would be interested to hear from any other UK customers who have had excessive customs charges.
I refused my parcel and am now going to be stung for EDS's shipping and re-stocking fees - so I am in effect going to be paying for nothing - watch out UK customers.
As for the treatment I received from Magda - well l can't print how I feel - let's just say all I got was a list of the costs that they would incurr. Yes I realise UK customs charges are not their responsibility, but I would have appreciated a little more understanding and help.

Well, think of it this way - in total, you were supposed to have 6 shipments, and you have to pay a total of 42 sterling pounds - which actually averaged only 7 stg lbs only each shipment. You should not have rejected the shipment. Plus, think of the cost savings you might have had cos you ordered at better prices from EDS so far....

Lady Jane, Thank you for posting those words of warning on our forums. It is really important for us that customers from UK are aware that their packages are subject to duty and/or taxes by UK Customs. We state it clearly on our website but not everyone might read it. From your Post I conclude that you were aware of those charges so was hoping that there will be no harsh feelings on your side.
As for my e-mail to you, I am sorry it made you feel bad but I was just trying to explain that if UK customers started to return packages that got hit with customs and we would have to cover all costs associated with shipping those packages in first place - we would be out of business by the end of the month.
Anyway, Lady Jane let's keep those forums on the subject of product reviews and not a customer service.
Also let's forget my e-mail. When your package comes back we will not charge you any re-stocking fees.
