Hi Casper's Mum,
This question might sound weird coming from the forum-proclaimed "Yonka Girl" but I would like your advice because I don't have the answer.
What would you suggest as my skin care regime for the following Yonka products:
Juvenil
Creme PG
Creme 15
Pamplemousse
When do I use which product? And could you tell me a little about the Yonka Pure Concentrate Emulsion? It says that it's a concentrate of the Lotion -- I didn't order it thinking that I could just use the Yonka Lotion in higher concentration to get the same effect. I'm not sure what the Emulsion does, though. I'm trying to clear up my skin (which till recently was controlled by Proactiv Solution). Please let me know (and suggest other products to try, if any). Thanks Casper's Mum!

This review is for Murad Acne Complex® Kit for Normal/ Combination Skin- I ordered this product for our 16 yo son with moderate acne. He has tried almost every OTC product as well as proactiv. We also ordered "Devina's" mask which arrived a few days before the murad (I say this because we used the mask twice before the Murad but within 72 hours of starting the Murad.) Our son's face looks so much better, at least 60% less acne. He is faithful to the Murad regime which is a three step process twice daily and has applied the mask a total of 4 times. He is so happy to look in the mirror and see just eyes, nose and a mouth, in that order vs a zillion red dots, eyes, nose, ladies think he is hot either way...)ya right mr all that :P He is such a great kid, I love him. Anyway, it has been just a couple of weeks, if that, and if he keeps up his end and the murad keeps working, we have mastered.... another.....teenage...
issue, #1million two hundred forty nine.....I think you get the idea.....
Until next time!

Hi Babs!
I've actually gotten to use the Murad Complex before. It was a 1-month deviation from my Proactiv and I, unfortunately, did not have as good a time with it as your son. The face wash was okay, but the rest of it burned my face and neck. It literally looked as if someone had taken a lighter to my face and burned my skin off. I went to see my esthetician at one point and she nearly cried out loud. I think the concentration was too strong for my skin, so I had to stop using it. This is in no way "bashing" Murad -- I just think that everyone's skin texture and sensitivity is different. It might be that your son's skin is tougher (not in a textural sense) and can withstand the salicylic acid better than I could.
Thanks for the post and suggestion! |
