Welcome to the forum
Are you exfoliating regularly? I would suggest that for the blackheads you can either use the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream or something with glycolic acid. I think that the Cleansing Cream is better at cleaning out the pores than glycolic acid (and will also be good for the drier parts of your skin), but a glycolic acid spot treatment might help with the millia or blocked pores around your lips. Are they on the lip line or actually ON your lips? Is there anything that you use on your lips that might be too heavy?
Btw, for oil control many have commented on the benefits of using the Decleor Ylang Ylang oil and also the Dr Hauschka Normalizing Oil. If you're interested then both have been reviewed in the Product Reviews section |

It sounds to me like you are in a viscous cycle. You might benefit from sebum balancing. If you over-exfoliate & do not mositurize, you trick your body into producing more sebum than it needs & you end up oily. I would follow Mabsy's advice & use the Ylang-Ylang Oil. You'll go through a period of feeling more greasy (maybe a week), but then your skin should balance out. |

You have milia ON YOUR LIPS????
Geez I've never heard of anything like that before... Are you certain they are milia?
While the advice passed along sounds reasonable, imo you really should consult with a dermatologist or a really excellent esthetician. It sounds to me like your current regimen may be exacerbating the problems you mention... |

Vitamin C is a good addition to just about anyone's skin care regime. That being said, it it probably a good idea for you to go back to the basics and get everything under control before you start adding new items. |

In every treatment, the one ingredient that is important is persistence. Always clean your face before going to bed or having a bath or exercising. No matter how tired or how pressed for time you are. Have a routine morning and night for your skin. And don't overdo it by using tons of products. Your skin needs also time to adjust to new products or routines, so stick with it for at least a week before deciding that it isn't working. |
