Thought I'd review this as I used it again last night after steaming my face with the Dr Hauschka steam concentrate and the results are still fresh in my mind.

I own two Arbonne products, this and the Thermal Enzyme mask (which is really good) - both were sent to me by the lovely Thoughtcrime, who hasn't been around on the EDS forums of late.

The Extra Strength Masque is a pretty powerful clay mask used for cleaning out the pores and absorbing any excess oil. I can really back up the "extra strength" bit because it did sting my skin as it was drying up and it also *really* irritated my eyes - my eyes were watering like crazy with this even though the mask was not anywhere near them!

The mask actually did a pretty good job as far as clay masks go and was also surprisingly easy to wash off (although it's hard to get it out of the tube and a bit hard to spread it unless you have just steamed your face). I am having a hard time deciding if I would recommend this to anyone because while I can see that it could be effective for someone with oily skin, I really feel that it shouldn't sting as much as it did and also should not irritate the eyes. On the other hand, I don't know if others would also have their eyes or skin irritated by this (e.g. there are some people with sensitive skin who use Queen Helene Mint Julep mask with no problems yet it kills my non-sensitive skin). I don't have sensitive skin and I consider my skin to be fairly resilient. I also don't usually have any problems with my eyes getting irritated by products so I was surprised with this one.

Has anybody else used this and had the same problems (or no such problems)?

Hi... I am actually an Arbonne consultant. This Masque is comparable to getting an acid peel. It isnt recommended for sensitive skin. I have never heard of it burning the eyes, however, but if you have shown a reaction to another mask it may be one of the natural ingredients that you are allergic to. We dont use any harmful chemicals, or mineral, petroleum or petrolatum. So it may be something else. Instead, I would recommend our RE9 Deep Pore Cleamsing Mask. I can use that and I have extremely sensitive skin, and it gives me wonderful antiaging benefits as well. Let me know if you need anything! Smile
