I got a sample of the balm with my eds purchase.
I never thought that i have particularly oily skin - but now that it is super hot in Toronto, I do wake up in the morning with an oily face.
Last night, I thought I would try out the balm after reading the rave reviews...and this morning...VOILA, my forehead was MATTE!!! (i only used in on the forehead).
Yesterday morning, my face looked like it had been dipped in oil.
I've read that the oil is even better...so i'm going to run of the sephora to get a tester (what is the telltale sign that the oil has destabilized? i find that testers are often already old especially because they are stored under the bright lights at sephora)
As for the routine i should use in the morning?
wash, vit c, ylang ylang oil and then sunscreen?
Can I mix a few drops of the ylang ylang into the sunscreen to help it to spread easier? |

Hi Cautious newbie - You may want to ask Bad Bird about this on the sunscreen thread. What an interesting idea for mattifying products with the use of ylang ylang (never used it -- must do some searching here on the forum). It's getting hot and humid where I live too. I'm looking quite oily myself! Thanks for the tip!

Yes, that's the correct order of things, although just this week I've switched my routine around and new use my Vit-C serum at night instead of the morning, and my Y-Y oil is working even better in the 98 degree F heat and humidity that is Austin! |
