Hi
I've been "lurking" on here for many months and now I need your help!
61 years old - 30 in my mind. Have been on various chemotherapies for the last few years and my skin was definitely suffering. I started on Skinceuticals in February and have been very happy, but my wrinkles and sagging face need some more help and I am thinking of ACDE, skin prep and Okusil.
My question is how to add these products to the one's I'm already using (or replace some that I am now using.(all Skinceuticals)
AM: wash and tone then CE Ferulic,"Face Cream", "15" Sunscreen
PM: wash and tone then .05 Retin A or Intense Line Defense, Eye Balm, Overnight Renew cream for Dry skin.
So - replace my PM regime with the 3 JB products? or - switch my AM products to the PM and use the JB's in the morning? and if so, do I need moisturizer over the ACDE?
Sorry to be so long winded, but before I spend a few hundred dollars I figure I had better know what I am doing!
Thanks. |

Hi,
Welcome
So sorry to hear about your difficult experiences.
Winnie is really the person to answer your question (she is currently on vacation) but I believe she would tell you to stop using any other products while adjusting to the AlphaDerma program.
She has recommended this to me and to others.
You should continue using your cleansing products and sunscreen (although AD has a sunscreen in it, I'm not sure if it is strong enough). I would give all the other products a rest, then after adjusting, you could include your Vit. C serum (JB makes a great one).
Hope this helps, joani
P.S. Winnie is about your age (and I'm not far behind). She has had amazing success with AD. She posted a picture and we were all wishing we looked that good at any age! I think the other gals on this forum will agree! |

agreed, use your regular cleanser but switch to using the ADCE. I wouldn't use another product with it till you've tried the ADCE, you can tell whether it's working that way plus it lessens the chances of different products mixing with negative effects.
Some people feel they need an extra moisturiser if their skin is dry although I wouldn't use anything with glycolic/retin-a for that. |

allells,
Sorry to hear about your chemo, I hope you are on the road to recovery now. If I was you I would email Lou or Ian at Janson Beckett, explain to them what you have explained to us and I promise they will advise you on the best way to proceed with the JB line and what products would be best for you. Good luck. |

I think you could probably even PM Ian. I think his user name is Ian S. |

allells - I'm sorry to hear that you've had to go through chemo. I think particularly in this case you should definitely get samples first as chemo can mess around with your skin and you can really react to products, even those that you used to love (my other half's mum went through a period where she could not find much skincare wise that her skin would tolerate). I would suggest calling up EDS or Janson Beckett to get a sample pack. I know that EDS had a special for forum members a while ago where the ADCE sample pack was free and all they had to pay for was shipping. I see this is currently listed as out of stock but it doesn't hurt to call up and ask |

Ooooh!!! Can anyone point me in the direction of the photo Winnie posted? I am currently trying to persuade myself to buy ADCE and this might just be the push that I need! |

She deleted it, but if you look on the Janson Beckett website there are before and after photos of Winnie from under her eyes and down. I have pics of Winnie but obviously I cannot send them to you without her permission. I will tell you she does look fantastic and her face has really toned up. |
