I caught a short portion of yesterday's show, and they had a dermatologist suggesting some new skincare. Some of the brands that we sell were listed!

Interesting. I've used many, many product lines for every area they list, and the only product on the entire list that I've tried, and do use regularly, is the St. Ives Apricot scrub! And I only use that to scrub my palms after applying self-tanner. Maybe I'm not the product junkie I thought I was.

I am interested in the SkinMedica TNS illuminating eye cream. Anyone try this?

Possibly on the payroll at St Ives.
Can't believe that the only cleansers and body lotions recommended are made by St Ives. Rolling Eyes

I've only tried a few. The St Ive's apricot scrub (which I find way too harsh for my face but I can't remember which I used, I think there was only one type at the time), the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze which I like, and Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian (smelled wonderful but it broke me out in tiny little red bumps - I suspect the high silicone content...).

I find the St Ives Apricot Scrub too rough for my skin. I prefer using Queen Helene scrubs. The Cocoa Butter one smells amazing and the Mint Julep one is really refreshing. The beads are smoother so they're easier on your skin.

I'm very suprised to hear the rec for St. Ives apricot scrub too...I've always heard that it is too rough and can scratch the skin. Curious...

I couldn't use the st. ives scrub. It was really rough (I think the exfoliant is apricot pitts ground up?) It seemed like it made tiny kind of 'cuts' all over my face. Hard to explain. They have a 'gentle' formula now, but I'd never try it again myself after the first experience. It might be better, though. It's pretty cheap, at least.

I used to think the lists they had on TV shows and magazines were real. I also used to believe in Santa Laughing

These are nothing more than product advertisements under the guize (sp?) of information.

Just look at the list they even have apricot scrub listed twice. It's very bad for your skin. TNS is a good product which they don't mention but they mention a new eye cream by TNS which may or may not be any good.

The s/s listed are a joke.

I no longer bother to watch/read these shows.

I did not see anything that would make me give up my Holy Grail, the IS Clinical line. They obviously have not tried any of those.

It's just advertising, plain and simple. I don't trust the advice, obviously.
