Good question! Allow me to clarify! Know that both products are crucial to maintain hydration when using Vitamin C serums (Cellex or Skinceuticals/Primacy) - which can dehydrate the skin. Both contain hyaluronic acid, naturally found in the skin. When the skin recognizes an ingredient, it sucks it in like a sponge, boosting hydration AND acting like a carrier/"magnet" for your moisturizer!
Hydra B-5 is recommended for use with ascorbic/l-ascorbic acid concentrations of 7-15%. This amount should be adequate. For those using Advanced-C products from Cellex or the higher concentrations from Primacy, we recommend that the Skin Hydration Complex be used. This has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, and very little product is needed for use. A little goes a long way. |
