I am looking for an eyebrow pencil one that is a really dark one but not black as it looks too harsh i have very pale skin and very dark brown hair but i find most of the dark brown pencils are a bit too reddy for me. I dont like the powders as i dont have enough eyebrows for them too fill in.

for as many years as i can remember i use to use maybelline eyebrow pencils they r good cheap and last, till i got eyebrows embroidered and then no more pencils (good if you have not much eyebrows, like it shaped nicely) embroidery is the best way to go, 10 mins and really doesn't hurt!!!

Brow Zing from Benefit is a great one. The dark brown is perfect for dark eyebrows. Just the tiniest bit waxy to keep everything in its proper place.

I also have very pale skin..my hair is naturally a very light brown with red undertones...but i dye it jet black...so i need to darken my eyebrows as well. I prefer a more natural look to them, and in the past i've found success with Mac's eyebrow pencil in the shade velvetone. Very lovely pencil, and what i loved was i could make my eyebrows dark or lighter depending on what mood i was in. You might want to try the colors 'stud', or 'spiked'. Currently i have an eyebrow comb and shade in my brows with Smashbox's creme liner in black...this is my fav so far...

Try Lorac's brow wax. You apply it with a brush and it stays all day and is very natural looking.

sorry. i think embroidery is only "hot" in asia.
its a semi permanent pigment deposited into your eyebrows. the beautician chooses a shade that will be complimentary to you, and then works with the customer what shape is suited for the face.

then she shows you how it will look like before going ahead to do it.

you touch up once a year.

tattoo were the scary greenish dark black horrible "permanent" pigment of the 70s or 80s.
now this embroidery is the thing currently for people who are sick of drawing their eyebrows every day or people who have one eyebrow higher or the other.

i did the same thing for my upper an dlower eyeline so when i close my eyes you can see a very very fine line, but when i open my eyes you cannot see the line

in other words, embroidery is semi permanent pigment deposited under the skin by a needled
and in qualified hands, it looks like YOU, ONLY BETTER and really nobody knows

the charge was good for me considering the natural result which people only knew when i told them.. usd $150 for brows and upper eyeline was usd $60 and lower eyeline usd $100

(you have to bebrave for lower eyeline as you have to keep your eyes open!) haha

this was done in singapore by the way. i could not get my appointment the last time i was there, as they are full for months Crying or Very sad

That sounds really cool, but couldn’t it be a problem if you want to change the look of your brows? I mean, sometimes super-thin brows are in and at other times were told that our brows must look a bit fuller for a more “natural” appearance. I know that personally the look of my eyebrows has changed a lot over the years just be reviewing old photographs of myself. I know that they tell women who get their eyebrows permanently tattooed on, that they better pick a shape that they love because they’re going to be stuck with it for the rest of their lives, so I wonder if it’s the same with this eyebrow embroidery??

For the record, I adore Smashbox’s Brow Tech in Smashing Brunette (I’m a natural redhead, but my brows are actually naturally very dark brown). It’s comes in a little jar with colored powder on one side and colorless wax on the other. In the past I just left my brows “au naturale” so I was happily astonished by the difference that actually grooming my brows made for my overall look. It’s almost like having an instant face-lift! Before I actually used it, I had thought that brow powders would be difficult to apply or wouldn’t look natural, but that was definitely not the case with the Brow Tech. By the 2nd day, I had completely mastered the application technique.

Just my 2¢...
Carrie

P.S. I’ve tried the Benefit Brow-zing Wax in the dark brown shade, but I didn’t like it much. I ended up trading it to Lianne in exchange for a Decleor toner.

Hi, I'm considering to go for eyebrow embroidery but still have some fears. Does it look natural? What if the color fades? Does it look horrible like eyebrow tattoos?

Yes, MAC pencils are fab! Those colors are good ones although too dark for my taste. And the pencils are ultra thin so you can get a precise line, the one thing most other eyebrow pencils don't allow.

I have the same problem with red/warm undertones in eyebrow pencils. My brows are black and full, but black pencils look too harsh and unnatural on me. I only need to fill in a teensy bit here and there, mainly along the very end of the brow. I've tried many brands, but keep going back to Maybelline in Charcoal. I'm so glad this works for me -- it's a lot cheaper than Chanel, etc.

I use dark gray or charcoal since my hair is dark and ashy - it works REALLY well!
