Hi. About a year ago I used a regular shaving razor on my forehead near my hairline area to remove a little bit of unwanted hair and the next day I woke up with these 2 really dark spots on both sides of my forehead which were darker then my normal skin tone which is like caramel. I thought it would go away quickly but it didn't. Every day since that happened, I put Vaseline on it. Although the spots have become lighter, they haven't faded away completely. And my other problem is that I use to use tweezers on my eyebrows(the really pointy ones that can dig deep into the skin) before I started waxing and that has left some marks above my eyebrows. They are also darker then my normal skin tone. I don't know whether to call these scars or burns or Whatever. Should i go to a dermatologist or is there something I can use to treat all this.Is there anything I can use to make it disappear quicker or any treatment? This has really affected my social life where I don't even want to leave the house.Thanks.
And just to let you know, these dark spots aren't raised above the skin or anything like that. They are all pretty much smooth just darker then my normal tone.
Thank you and sorry about the length of this post. |

I don't know what to say about the changes along your hairline, especially if you shaved it a year ago. Otherwise, I would assume that this is your hair growing back - roots are darker than ends, afterall. If it is permanent hair removal that you seek, you should have electrolysis done, waxing for temporary. At least with waxing, the hair will grow back more finely, and not like a brush-cut!
As for your "really pointy" tweezers - you mentioned the word "dig". Did you really do this, and cause scarring? If-so, first of all ... OUCH! It's not necessary to "dig" for hair! Wait a for a couple of days for the regrowth, and then tweeze! Those pointy tweezers are meant for super-fine hair removal, not digging! The best type of tweezers to use for brows are those with a slanted edge.
You might want to try Dermatix Gel, which a liquid silicone product, to help fade & heal scars. |
