I got these two as GWP with my last order. I don't have especially sensitive skin, but it can turn a bit red/pink with changes of weather and temperatures. My skin is besides that quite normal, but with a slight tendency to break out now because I am pregnant -I have had 3-4 pimples in 6-7 months, so it is not a lot anyway.
I tried these yesterday after cleansing and exfoliating (Dermalogica Gentle Exfoliating Cream). I thought that products meant for sensitive skin should feel somewhat cooling or relaxing on the skin, but actually, both the oil and the balm made my skin sting, and also turned it a bit pink, it looked "raw" in a way. This never happens with the Neroli oil or the essential balm, products I use every day/night. So I was a bit disappointed actually in the Rose dŇrient products, but I will try them more, at least when winter comes in a few weeks.
It could be that my pregnant skin reacts differently than it normally would, because I have never before experienced stinging from any skincare-product I have ever tried. I even woke up with a big new pimple today, so maybe that also made me question the Rose-formula a bit....
Apart from this, I found the products very pleasing in smell and texture, as always, coming from Decleor. The oil is perhaps a bit more watery than the Neroli, and the balm a bit thinner, but that is OK.
If my opinion about these two changes with more use, I'll update this review. |
