I'm concerned about my skin! My cheeks are always red but the redness only appears on parts of my face and not entirely. (for example, only the skin area near my cheekbones are red leaving the rest white. ) This makes my skin blotchy looking. My friend recommended me to go see a doctor but I didn't think it was that serious. Anyone know why this is occuring? Maybe my skin is sensitive? =(
-Thanks |

I had the same problem as you....i got Dermalogica's Gentle soothing booster about a week ago, and the redness of my face has dramatically improved. Also i use the Dermalogica daily microfiliant, it is very nice also. They are both meant to take away the redness from environmental stresses. |

Sensitive skin indeed. You probably have rosacea...a lot of people are in denial with the "Disease" but its extremely common and it can be diagnosed in even the most minimal cases. I would go to a dermotologist..Also, you can tell if your skin is sensitive because you'll turn really red from certain products. If you find the right products, you can save your skin from suffering. |

Also, exfoliants from my personal experiences only make skin redder...they can break skin tissue...not such a good idea in my opinion. |

yes....many exfoiliants may make skin redder. It is important to exfoiliate your skin, so you should invest in a good and very gentle exfoiliant designed for sensitive skin. Like the Daily Microfiliant i advised earlier. |

My skin gets like that sometimes, I saw a dermatologist and they said I didn't have rosacea, that I was just sensitive so I'm careful about what products I use and it has made a huge difference. A few things I really like are:
Dermalogica's Ultra Calming Cleanser
Jurlique Face Wash Cream (REALLY gentle exfoliant/deep clean)
Jurlique Calendula Cream |

Thanks for all the suggestions =) I'll be sure to go see a dematologist! My friend told me to see a "doctor" in case it was some contagious disease lol. Anyways, I might try one of the exfoliants you guys suggested! A year ago, I used this scrub that wasn't very good because it was way too rough. Maybe this made my skin even worst! lol =P Thanks again...
Btw, any recommendations on products that can lighten pimple scars? |

the daily microfiliant by dermalogica has an ingredient to decrease redness (very gentle) as well as brighten the face and acne scars. The gentle soothing booster by dermalogica is also effective. It is oil free and can be used to moisture the face as well as reduce redness and spots. |

Alright =) Thank you...I will try that after I finish off the one I'm using now. I kind of alternate cleansers now because I buy too much...=( |
