I thought my search for a tinted moisturizer, sheer foundation had ended with Tarte's Smooth Operator, but alas, I have noticed that my pores get clogged up if I wear it a couple days in a row. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have tried dermalogica's tinted moisturizer, it was nice but I liked Tarte's better. I have somewhat oily skin, so more emphasis on the tinted and less on the moisturizer!! I was kind of looking at Stila's TM, Smashbox's cooling backdrop, or HardCandy's Hint Tint. But of course, any suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,
Liz |

How about mixing a liquid bronzer like the one by Dr H or Jurlique with your normal day cream or suncreen? I haven't tried doing that myself but a lot of people on here have recommended it. I think it may have been rosebud actually and she has oily skin too (if I remember correctly!) so hopefully she will have some suggestions! I'm yet to find a tinted moisturiser I like so I think that's going to be next on my 'to try' list. |

Makeupalley.com has heaps of reviews on these...i have been looking for one myself. From the looks of these reviews, Stila is a big winner - both their tinted moisturiser and also their illuminating foundation, as well as some other brands... I suggest looking there first. |

Sorry to hear the Tarte wasn't good for you Liz! I haven't had problems with it like that.
Ok, other tinted moisturisers. I had the Stila one but it ended up being given away because I hated the texture of it - too thick and heavy. I've been really tempted to try the Laura Mercier one. I tried the tester and it was nice and light. It also gets really good reviews (last time I checked anyway). Murad makes a tinted oil-free sunblock that has a very subtle tint and it feels almost like gel on the skin - very little moisturisation going on with this one. I'm using that at the moment actually while I take a break from JI and Chanel Voile Universel (also very good sheer color wash). As Princesita suggested, you could also get the Dr H or Jurlique bronzing concentrates and either use these straight or mix with your moisturiser. I haven't tried the Jurlique but I have a bottle of the Dr Hauschka and I like it. I do find it easier to apply when it's mixed with moisturiser though rather than alone. HTH |

Dr Hauschka Bronze Concentrate, you can mix it with whatever day oil/moisturiser works for you or with sunscreen.
Also I have read that you can mix the loose Jane Iredale powder with moisturiser to ceate a tinted moisturiser. |
