Just wondering if anyone has used JL lipsticks or gloss. How does it compare to MAC lipsticks? Any color favorites?
Thanks,

I figured I'd respond just because no one else has!
I really, really love the JI puregloss. Mulberry is my favorite color (subtle brownish/red), but I'm also a sucker for anything kind of gold or mocha colored. They are super-hydrating and the pigment lasts a long time (at least on me... I don't know anyone else who uses them.) I also use the Chanel glossimers and Benefit's Black Orchid glosses (I've never tried MAC... sorry!). I love the Chanel ones, but JI's are more hydrating long-term. I have really dry lips and I can forego using a lip moisturizer when I use the JI glosses without getting dehydration lines or anything. They also feel pretty light in texture.
My only complaints about the JI are that you don't get very much for your money, the applicator doesn't go all the way to the bottom so you feel like you're losing some at the end, and like any "gloss" you have to wait a bit before going out into a windy environ due to hair sticking in the gloss (but not nearly as bad as the Chanel!! ) The colors are pretty and the color is pretty true when applied. They also smell good (the newer ones have a citrusy scent.)
As for the lipsticks, my mother seems to exclusively use the JI nowadays. She doesn't like Chanel lipsticks anymore, and doesn't seem to be using Lancome, Guerlain, etc. much anymore, either. I personally don't really wear lipstick (I love glosses too much! Lipsticks all make my lips feel dry in comparison.) but for my mom to drop several other brands in favor of wearing JI regularly says something to me.
I'd at least pick up one for fun. What can it hurt... |

I have the Gloss in Candid Rose, it is one of the best lipglosses I've ever used, not too sticky and lasts for hours. Again my only dislike is the size, you hardly get any, the tube is tiny so I save mine for best. I would definatly purchase at least one of these glosses though. |

I was given a few samples and I am finding that the lipsticks seem to hydrate my lips better and the color does seem to last and not cake up in the corners of your mouth. I like the look of lip gloss ,but don't like the stick to your hair problem. It's good to know that the JL lip gloss color lasts and doesn't wear right off. I don't like anything too pink or bright. I do need color on my lips because I find that as I have gotten older, my lips seem to fade in color. Thanks for posting your replies. It helped. I will check out to see what colors seem nice.

Has anyone tried the Jane Iredale multi-coloured lip kit? I can't decide between this or the Handi brush |
