The Jane Iredale Absence didn't work for me either. I have oily/combination skin and I found that the Absence did absolutely nothing to stop my skin from looking greasy.
I also find that mineral make-up makes my skin look shiny a lot quicker than with regular liquid foundations. |

I have a couple of samples of JI make-up. I have both the loose and the pressed base. Didn't like the loose, it made my skin look all shimmery. The pressed is much nicer but after a couple of hours of wearing it my skin is looking shiny. At the moment I am using a sample of Pure Luxe loose foundation topped off with some T LeClerc Banane powder. The Pure Luxe is not shimmery like Bare Escentuals or JI loose base. However, I still need to blot away those oily patches a couple of hours after application.
Afraid I can't recommend a foundation as I've yet to find one that prevents me from getting oily. Having to blot during the day is just something I've got used to now. Besides, I'd rather have oily skin than dry. Keeps you younger looking. |
