What is the difference between SkinCeuticals PHYSICAL UV Defense SPF 30 and SkinCeuticals Ultimate UV Defense SPF30

Well, the title says it all. The Physical UV SPF 30 is a physical sunscreen while the Ultimate SPF 30 is a mixed (chemical and physical) sunscreen.

Some people are sensitive to chemical filters so they can only use physical sunscreens. So it totally depends on the person.

I think comparing skinceuticals physical with the ultimate; the physical is better. the chemical in the ultimate isnt very good with uva protection...not that the physical formula is the best for uva protection(considering there are many european brands of sunscreens that have better uva/uvb protection ingredients in them), but the physical has worked so far for my sensitive skin.. No heat rashes, no break outs, and gives extra moisture. its better than most of the U.S. sunscreens around...

I like the physical one better. Check ebay for samples of both or ask for some along with your next order.
