Hello everyone,
This is my first post. I have read a lot about AlphaDerma CE on this board and wanting to get it off eBay cause it's cheaper. But I've heard that those sold on eBay are fake. Anyone know if this is true? |

I have bought lots of products on ebay and never questioned their authenticity. Just pick a seller with an excellent positive feedback score, and I am sure it will be fine! It will save you lots of money!! |

Believe it or not I actually once got fake mascara off eBay! It was a Dior one.
Anyway, overall I don't think it would be a problem - just make sure that you check the feedback rating of the seller. The one downside to buying skincare on eBay though is that you don't know how old it is or what condition it has been stored in. |

Well, guess what, I checked with my source and they said they learned from the company Janson Beckett that "greatdealsdepot" were selling fakes. Not sure about the other sellers though. |

I read about "greatdealsdepot" on MUA and apparently they are selling "fake" Alphaderma CE. It's a shame because they give other e-bay sellers a bad name.

'kay, someone needs to pm or email Ian because as the president or CEO of JB he can have this seller kicked off eBay for selling fake items. Even if the seller was selling authentic products and JB didn't approve of them as sellers on eBay or eBay itself (a lot of companies believe it cheapens their product), he could have them booted.
There is a VERO form at eBay someone for JB needs to fill out to make a complaint. This person is making money off the good JB name and delivery crap to trusting customers! I don't know why eBay isn't more proactive on their own to get rid of sellers like this. |

I don't have enough info about the seller to confidently say that they're selling fakes. I couldn't find much evidence (online) to suggest that they are and they do have a good (mostly) feedback rating. BUT, the question is, why would you want to buy that if you can get a guaranteed fresh bottle from EDS for just a few bucks more with probably some samples thrown in? |

I agree with Mabsy on this point - if you're buying something for your face, why not trust a reputable seller like EDS. Sure it might be a little bit more expensive compared to ebay prices but at least you can be sure that:
1. The products are genuine.
2. It hasn't past its sell by date or smell funny.
3. If you have a problem you can always send it back for a refund.
Some sellers on ebay don't do refunds - so caveat emptor is the first rule to bear in mind when buying things on ebay (especially if you intend to put them on your face - one mistake is all it takes to damage your skin).
Hands up those who have been "cheated/scammed/ripped off" at least once on ebay.... |

With skincare and cosmetics the feedback rating of a seller I would buy from would have to be almost perfect. I bought some gwp items a while ago that were a total disappointment, it was such a deal I didn't worry about the sprinkling of negative and neutral feedback and even though the rating was around 99%, way too low for me, I purchased anyway. The gwps were opened and I'm sure one was used but described as 'new and not used'. Any time I've stuck with perfect feedback sellers on cosmetics I've had excellent luck.
The JB seller in this thread has terrible feedback, I wouldn't buy anything from them let alone skincare/cosmetics. |

I just bought the 5 day trial size bottles from Ebay, (Radiancequeen), she has also sent me a free sample and said to beware of other sellers selling fakes.
I once bought a pair of 'gucci' sunglasses from Ebay, cost me about $70 and fell to bits! Live & learn! |

I do know for a fact that one seller in particular on EBay was selling fake JB products. I prefer not to give their ID. Radiancequeen is a reliable Ebay seller. Her JB products are FOR REAL and factory sealed/fresh. When purchasing JB products for the first time I think it is a good idea to get them from JB direct and have the guarantee behind your purchase. After using ADCE and want to repurchase get a deal if you can. EDS has great prices on JB combos. |
