Again had a facial w/Dr and they used Dermalogica products on me-Skin looks and feels great-Do I stick w/the Special Cleansing gel & active moist and Daily Micro or continue the Yonka Gel (never could find the right moisture). I also use SC Vit C & B5 and the Phytomer Rose Visage toner. Need some advice |

Sorry, I have a feeling this continues on from a previous story and I'm missing some info.... Are you using the YonKa at the moment or you are thinking of going back to it? Which one doesn't have the right amount of moisture - the YonKa or the Dermalogica?
If you are currently using the YonKa and finding it drying then if the Dermalogica feels better then I don't see why you can't switch to that (continue using everything else as usual, then slowly introduce other Derm products if you want to). |

it is a never ending story- I ran out of Yonka and then got the facial-the moisterizer that I could never find was w/Yonka either to greasy or not enough-So as always Iam in a state of confusion-They gave me samples of the products and I also have a sample of SC Simple Clean-I guess Iam confused each feels the same I just don't want to confuse my face anymore or myself-By the way you are the best always answer. Its a wonder we get any work done. So what do you think about this routine. |

If your skin feels good after the facial then I would say stick with whatever made it feel good but do switch over gradually. Personally, I would switch over all in one go but that's because I know that my skin is very unlikely to react. Generally, it's best to introduce new products slowly though.
I have tried and like all the products you mentioned apart from the Active Moisture. I dind't like that one after trying two samples of it (just to make sure ). If you only have samples of these and you don't want to commit to full size products until you're sure that you like them, then I would suggest getting a Dermalogica trial size kit. Btw, you are right - a lot of products *do* feel the same. I think it's just a matter of finding the one that works for you and then also finding the one you like most (texture, smell, etc).
Btw, I have workload issues as well but this forum is just too addictive |

I truly appreciate your advice-you are right the site is addictive-I just get confused and always think that something better for my skin is out their. In fact I do think that the Yonka gel feels the best, and that my search for moisturizer will have to continue I may try the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel or get samples of Yonka on Sat and still use the Active Moist. About the only thing thats great is SC Vit C & B5 the cleanser I still can't decide on (I think its a bit harsh). So will keep you posted if I don;t go broke doing this |

The Jurlique Herbal Recover Gel is pretty light by the way. If you are using a gel cleanser then this may not be enough. I felt it wasn't moisturising enough until I started using a cream cleanser or the Dr Hauschka. It's not that the cleansers felt drying (they didn't) but they weren't moisturising either.
Another way to go about this might be to try a different vitamin C serum and stick with a lighter moisturiser. E.g. you might find that if you switch to the Vivier serum (and use your B5 over the top if you still need to) and then use a light moisturiser then that might be enough. I found the SC serum to be a tad drying.
Don't feel too bad - while I have found some fantastic products I still keep trying others. Often expecting that they won't be better but I still have to try something new |

Do you think that I should just stick w/the Yonka Gel and try the SC cleansing gel and use the Active Moist since it seems light enough (I use the C @ night) since this does not seem it irritate my skin. The Derm stuff just seems so harsh, everything hurts my skin its really hard to find anything |

I haven't tried the SC cleanser so I can't really comment on what it's like or what type of skin it's best for. When you say YonKa Gel you mean the cleansing gel right?
I have found Dermalogica products to be quite gentle, but everybody's skin is different. Maybe cut out the Microfoliant? Some people do comment that they find it drying....
I know you said you couldn't find the anything with the right amount of moisture in the YonKa, yet the Derm Active Moist sounds to be very light. What type of skin would you say you have? |

Hi Red....let me know how the Jurlique works for you....you know already that I LOVE the Yonka Gel cleanser the best for my skin but I have liked moisturizers in other lines better than some of the Yonka moisturizers and I want to try the Jurlique sometime coming up. Was thinkin of you having your facial today aaaah lucky U! |

The facial was great-I got some samples of the Yonka cleansing cream-The gel may be a bit harsh-and also the Cream 58 for night-I may try going without in the day until I try the Jurlique since I use the JI liquid I just read that unless you have dry skin it can be used without moisturizer. It just never ends. I know that I do not care for the JI Absence (did nothing) Why is this soooooo hard |

You'll get there yet! For me and many of us it's a voyage of discovery with so many products to choose from and waiting to see how our skin reacts to them all amidst normal seasonal changes as well as life changes. Stay positive I know the feeling well. That's why I think this forum is a real positive thing to share what works and does not work for each of us. And within that everyone has different experiences to each product. I know you'll find the right combination of products for your skin, it sometimes frusterating (especially the investments!) but I think there's lots of support for you here! Thinking of you and hoping you're having a great weekend! |
