When I first read the suggestion by guapagirl on one of the threads to use jojoba oil as a moisturiser (among other things) I seriously thought she was crazy! Laughing Since then I've tried some of the decleor oils so I thought what the hell... maybe I'll give this jojoba oil a go, it certainly is a lot cheaper. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised! My face felt a little bit greasy at first, but the oil had totally soaked in after a few minutes and my face just felt really soft. I think it helped with my oily t-zone too - I didn't even have to blot at lunchtime!!! No breakouts yet so I'm going to keep using it for now Very Happy

I'm glad you have added oils as part of your face care. I was like you when the Dr Hauschka lady told me to use oils on my skin (especially when I had oily pimply skin to begin with!!) but I was so surprised when I massaged it all over my neck and back and it didn't cause any breakouts. And I started using my own home mixture of jojoba, evening primrose and calendula with carrot 10%, and it really didn't cause any extra breakouts.

So much for the clinique ladies telling me to get rid of all the oil on my face and replacing it with petrochemicals Very Happy

It's great! isn't it? I reviewed it a couple years ago on a beauty board. It is really a wax not an oil and it is almost identical to sebum, which is secreted by the human sebaceous glands. I love it to remove eye makeup or all makeup and it helps clear my breakouts from hormones. My face is dry so in the morning, if I use it the night before my face is still pretty dry. Camellia oil works better at night for dry faces, at least for me. Smile

I swap inbetween my Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil and my Jojoba oil. If I had to choose, I would go for the Jojoba every time simply because it is just as effective and so so versatile.

Hmmm, perhaps I should substitute Jojoba oil in lieu of the Kukui oil in my homemade Decleor Ylang Ylang oil recipe next time I make a batch...?

I'm using just a drop of this as a buffer between me and my sunscreen. I think because sunscreens are so oily they make my skin produce less oil and I end up dry. This seems to be keeping my skin nicely balanced. For some reason it gives my skin a glow too. Lovely stuff.
