I really didn't like this Confused Didn't like the texture or the effects. Made my skin feel really tight and dry. Also extremely hard to spread evenly on my skin. I will stick to my LRP Active C which is more of a lotion than serum Rolling Eyes

or you might try to get samples of the vivier serum. cellex-c and skinceuticals seem to be better for oilier skins. Also, IS Clinical's C serums have Hyaluronic acid in them so that add some moisture to your face.

Try JB C&C, Vivier, or CellularSkinRx. These are all more substantial in texture (in increasing order in this list), less drying, and also easier to spread.

How long did you use the Cellex-C for and what sort of results did you see?

I had the same experiences as you with the cellex-c serum. It really is for oilier gals. I switched to IS Clinical's proheal serum and I love it.

Hi cbrooke - I'm currently using IS Clinical Super Serum. It has a very nice texture and is easy to apply. I received a sample of Pro Heal Serum and use it occasionally. Like SS, it contains 15% L-ascorbic acid which is good, but since it also has 1% retinol, I only use it at night. It's stickier than Super Serum on my skin, but has a lot of good ingredients for lightening pigmentation as well as being anti-acneic (which seems to be a common characteristic of IS Clinical products).

I am a new convert to IS clinical also. I love the texture of their proheal serum.

I just started using the Cellex-C Advanced C Serum (17.5%) followed by the Advanced Skin Hydration Complex. It's about to expire so I thought I'd use this up quickly before it goes to waste. I was expecting it to be pretty dark already given that it apparently expires this month, but, while it is yellow, it's a pretty light yellow at the moment.

As for the texture, for some reason I do find it better than the High Potency Serum (which is 10%). It's still not the same as the Vivier and the JB of course, there is no way that I would use the Advanced C and not put a hydrating gel over it. But, with the Hydration complex (which I also like better than the B5 gel) it's pretty good. I'll update once I finish the bottle(s).

Oh yay, Mabsy - I'm really curious to find out how the 17.5% serum compares to the Vivier 20 and SkinC - can't wait!

Skinceutical over Cellex C for me. Also, there is a copycat version that's made in Australia call Ultraceuticals. I believe they are very good and cheaper.

All based on the same philosophy and ingredients.
