I've been using this deodorant for a month now (well three days short of a month I think) so I thought I'd write a review. This hasn't been reviewed here before (I know because I desperately searched for reviews when I wanted to buy it and didn't find any) so hopefully this will help someone make up their mind either way if they have been contemplating buying this.
Ok, we all know that Tend Skin lotion is great! It's very effective; even if it does smell like Italian salad dressing :P But of course, I wanted more! The main gripe I had with the lotion is that I was forgetting to use it because it wasn't really convenient to use (especially in the morning). I also have to say that my main problems with ingrown hairs reside (or should I say 'resided') in the underarm area.
Long story short, I thought that Tend Skin in deodorant form would be very convenient and would mean that I would regularily use it. Bingo! I still use Tend Skin lotion at night every so often for a boost but only use the deo in the morning (I think the deo is gentler on your skin than the lotion because I don't get the peeling I got with using the lotion twice daily).
My underarms are now perfectly fine. I still get a small occasional ingrown but it goes away quickly. All the black/grey marks from deeply embedded ingrown hairs are now gone. Yay!
Now about the 'deodorant' part of the deodorant. This is not an anti-perspirant so don't expect this to STOP you from sweating (which as far as I'm concerened is not a healthy thing to do anyway and therefore, yes, I'm a crystal deodorant user ). This does control odor but it's not a deodorant I would reach for if I was planning to do sport. Also, it still has the strong Tend Skin vinegary smell but this fades quite quickly after you apply it. It comes in a solid stick form with a twist up thingy (you know what I mean). After using it for a month I only got through about 1/4 of it (and I use a bit more than the instructions say). So I see this lasting about 4 months. I bought two so I'm all stocked up until some time next year (though my mum has taken an interest in it so I may find that my spare deo will go walkies soon ).
Bottom line: this is a good every day deodorant which has the added benefit of helping kill off the 'ingrowns colony' that has decided that your underarm conditions were perfect for a settlement area. For tennis playing days reach for something anti-perspirant (unless you play tennis like me in which case it probably doesn't matter :P).

Wow, I didn't even know they had a deodorant! Do you know which ingredient is supposed to be the hair-stopper? |

This sounds great, but does this get on your clothes and leave white marks? |
