Hello, I have combination skin, occational breakouts in t-zone and blackheads. I just started md-treatments which my estetichian recommended, she used the strongest type md-treatment. She also recommended that I used md-facial cleanser and md-facial lotion( sensitive skin formula) and Decleor alpha morning sp 12. After checking out this web site and others I realised that Deleor alpha morning is not to be used on sensitiv skin. I am not really sure wether or not i have sensitive skin but after reading the small print on my md-facial lotion for sensitiv skin bottle I am confused as to which products that are appropriate for my skin. The md-facial lotion are suppose to rejuvenat dry, sun damaged skin and diminish the apperanse off fine lines and wrinkles. I am only 22 and have no fine lines nor wrinkels my skin is not very dry... Is my estetichian wrong or should I continue useing this combination of products??? Thanks in advance. Liss
PS: In case you react to the language in my message I am norwegian,it`s the best i can do. |

Hi Liss, welcome to the forum.
I have normal or sometimes combo skin and I used the MD Formulations cleanser (the normal glycolic one) and also the Facial Lotion. What I found is that these products really helped with keeping my skin smooth, i.e. free from the little under-the-skin bumps etc I think these would also be useful for acne-prone skin. It is very important to be wearing a sunblock when you're using these products though.
Does your skin react to new products? I guess that's one way of telling if your skin is sensitive. The fact that she gave you the sensitive formulation of the Facial Lotion may not mean that your skin is actually sensitive though. She might have just wanted to give you a product with a lower concentration of the glycolic acid. Like I said, I've used the Facial Lotion (normal version) and found it to be pretty powerful at the time (I was starting out with glycolic products back then).
Ps. Your English is great! |

Thanks for you reply, I have used these products for about six weeks and haven not really cleared up ( not at all). But still I think I will keep using the products and get some more treatments to fully try it.
