Kojic acid is supposed to be fairly gentle. Lactic acid is the most gentle of the AHA's that help to remove age spots. Some here have had success with Skinceuticals Phyto+ for age spots. Ihave also heard over at MUA that Neutrogena has an Acne Spot Fade cream that is getting rave reviews.
For me, C serum daily, sunscreen, and alternate nights of Retin-A and 10% AHA serum seems to work.
I did a 20% TCA peel on a couple of freckles on my face and hands a couple weeks ago and they lightened up somewhat but did not disappear. I would not recommend TCA for sensitive skin though. I did a second peel and am waiting for those results now. So far, I'm not too terribly impressed. Maybe a third shot will do the trick. |
