Has anyone tried this, what is it like for oily to normal skin?
I like the idea of it being a compact however I get the feeling it is a creamy formular.
Would love any feedback on this
I am quite fair (in MAC about NC25) so would it be too dark for me? |

Looks very cool and convenient. Wish it were available in the U.S. on the west coast. If you try it, please keep us updated! |

I could have written Rosebud's post! I placed a HUGE order with BeautyTarget.com this afternoon and was thisclose to adding that to my cart - I mean, I'm assuming the powder's ingredients would be compatible with the Avéne sunscreens. However, the shades presented both looked darker than even the darkest self-tanner could ever get me, let alone how fair I am when I'm not self-tanning 9 months out of the year!
If you've ever tried/seen Clinique's Super City Block SPF 25, that is as dark as a tint as I can do when my skin is fair. (I hope that makes sense!)
Please tell us if you decide to order it, and if it works for you cosmetically and color-wise. |

I'm deathly allergic to all things Clinique. I liked the shade of City Block but turned red and swollen after using it. Still can't find a place that I can order Avene that ships to US or that I can purchase in Southern California. Bummer. |

Thanks Molly! Rosebud, I ordered this in Beige and will let you know how it works out. Mainly looking forward to taking it to Vegas end of this month so I don't have to carry around a tube of sunblock by the pool! |

Yes lt me know Also what is your skin type and are you fair? I'm oily and not sure if it would make me oilier. |

I'm fair for an Asian so I have yellow/olive undertones. My skin is combination/sensitive so we'll see ... it's always a bit of a gamble. I'll keep you posted! |

I received my Avene compact SPF 50 in Beige and tried it on my cheeks. The color is pretty good for my light Asian skin. It does seem to be a bit more oily than my normal cream sunscreens, but I don't mind it since my skin can get dry when I'm outside.
Am mainly looking forward to using it at the end of the month in Vegas so I can re-apply at the pool rather than bringing down my photoderm spf 100 and letting it get all runny and hot in the sun. Main concerns are allergic reactions and that the UVA protection is only 10. |

I had the same reaction to the city block Not sure what ingredient it was, I was thinking it was the titanium dioxide? I am going to try the Murad oil-free sheer tint sunblock spf15.
What kind of coverage is it and where did you buy the Avene? Have seen the skin products and sunblock in Shopper's, but not the makeup LOVE products that multi-task and have more than one function ie. sun protection and coverage |

I'm allergic to almost everything by Clinique and currently use chemical free sunscreens containing titanium dioxide so it's not that. I was told it's some preservative that they use that I'm allergic to.
The coverage of the Avene is kind of light. I put it on my freckles and it didn't totally cover them, but then again, I didn't put it on very heavily. I've only put it on once so I can't say for sure that I'm not allergic to it, but so far so good ... |

Hi, last week I bought the spf15 foundation in ivory, oil free and that works out well, however for really, really pale skin it would be too dark, I've been in the sun and self tanning so the colour is ok. The spf50 sounds a great one to have for holidays. |

It is an amazing product, have been using it as a foundation, covers really well and is one of my fav cosmetics. I had initially bought for spf in the summer but use it all the time.
I have a fashion and beauty column in a french magazine and this product is one of coup de coeur. Hope you like it too : ) |

I took a look at makeupalley for reviews and did not see this product.
I will take a look for it the next time I am in SDM. It is the type of product that I would like to see in person before buying.
Does anyone know the active sunscreen ingredients? Is it considered a photostable sunscreen?
I do like a lot of Avene products. |
