Rhapsody,
my mom's a dermatologist and you are doing the right thing by applying some sort of savlon. I know you may find this silly, but if you can put a bandaid over it that will really help to. It will stop you from fiddling with it and it will keep the area moist and healing.
hope that helps!

Thank you Jessica.
It is very sore today (that comment was specifically for Sweety Smarty - I can give more disgusting details if you wish? ) |

Thank you for remembering me and my messed-up mole
Apparently it isn't a mole it is a Papilloma (sp?) and even if it were removed chances are it would grow back! The doctor assured me that I haven't done any permanent damage to the area. She said it will take 3-4 weeks for the residual redness to go down, but then it will be as it used to be.
I was gonna add a photo of it as it is now (don't worry Smarty - it is pretty much healed up now!) but my forehead looks all shiny
Thanks again for your thoughts.

I think a 'mole' sounds better after reading this:
Papilloma: a benign tumor (as a wart) due to overgrowth of epithelial tissue on papillae of vascular connective tissue (as of the skin)
So, basically it is a wart!!
Nice
ETA: I don't think EDS is ready for an entire face shot of me |

I wished you hadn't asked too... cos it meant I went trawling the internet for definitions and I think I prefered it being a mole!
Maybe I'll just pretend I don't know what a Papilloma is if I ever have to mention it again... I can just pretend to be unique
