Over-washing your face?!
I've gotten so many wonderful products from EDS, and I'm wondering if there's such a thing as over-washing your face. For instance, in the afternoons, I always use the Yonka Creme Nettoyant to remove make up. Then I go over my face with Dermalogica's Microfoliant. And lastly, to remove any traces of make-up still left, I use the Yonka Gel Nettoyant.
At night, I use Proactiv solution for my acne and then I use the Microfoliant again (cuz I love it).
I'm just wondering if it's possible to over-do skin care . . . will my face dry out if I wash it too much or if I use too many products at one time? Honestly, I have to wash my skin at least twice to remove make up (since the first run through will never remove everything).
Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I just love all these products . . . I just want to use them whenever I wash my face -- but clearly I might not reap the benefits if I'm over-doing my skin care regime.
Please help

Hi Lisa,
I think there is such a thing as overdoing it but it might be dependant on how 'tough' your skin is.
I know what you mean by wanting to use the products all the time. I've found some really great products since I discovered this forum and I look forward to using them. But with something like the Microfoliant, I think twice a day can be a bit much. I know it's gentle, but in the end it's still exfoliation and I would be worried about it thinning my skin out over time (though I don't know if that would happen).
I hope you get some good replies to your question; I'd really like to know the answer too.
Enjoy your weekend,
Mabsy. |
