Anyone else notice headaches after applying this serum or others containing Acetyl Hexapeptide-3? |

Yes! I took tylenol to help. It lasts a week or two. |

Ahhhh....so good to know it's not me! Also nice to know that it doesn't last and that I can continue to use it!
Thanks Terihe! |

Interesting... I don't think I ever heard anybody mention having headaches as a result of using argireline. I didn't have any (and I'm a headachey person) and my mum hasn't had any either... |

Me too. Headaches within 1 hr of application. At first I thought it was the chemical sunscreen in the formulation [ADCE], but now am inclined to think it's the argiriline. |

Mine come on within minutes of application. And I'm not a person who normally has headaches. They don't seem to last much more than a couple of hours though. |

Hi everyone-VERY new here; only my 2nd post.
I got this dang-awful headache last night-it was the first time I began usein 'desert essence' age-reversal serum with acetyl hexapeptide. I couldn't figure it out. When I read this in the forum-it made sense. I'm hoping it will wear off-i've yet to see any results from this product after only a day. |

One week here and no results yet but trying to give it another 3 weeks before I chuck it and the headaches in the garbage! |

You will not see immediate results from Argireline alone. It will take a month or two until you start to notice a decrease in the depth of wrinkles & the intensity of facial muscle contractions. Also, not everyone is a "responder". What that means is that it might not work for everyone. 1 in 10 people may not respond to the inhibitory response in the nuero-receptor sites. |

Relax-a-lines site says 30 days which is why I said I'd give it another 3 weeks before chucking it. |

Gave me a terrible headache for about a week after I started using it and didn't do a thing for my crows feet so I quit using. |

Funny thing is that I almost never had headaches before using Relax-a-line and Mabsy who says she has lots of headaches hasn't experienced this problem with argireline.
Wonder if those of us who have a problem with it share any common denominators?
I'm 52,a smoker,heavy coffee drinker,and bought my bottle of Relax-a-line from Exit 15 Corporation.
Relax-a-line also contains Hyaluronic acid...maybe this is the problem?
Good news here is that you were right Terhie, my headaches seem to be lessening...less severe and not lasting quite so long. |

I'm not sure we'll get anything out of this comparison, but I'm 28, don't smoke and only very occasionally drink coffee. I also use things with hyaluronic acid in them on a regular basis.... |

Any updates on this? I recently purchased argireline separately as an active, to add to my lotion. I progressively added more over 3 days to get a stronger effect, and now I have a massive headache that's gotten worse several hours later. I NEVER get headaches. And I added it to a lotion that I've used in the past without any problems. The first day I had mild headaches that I thought were unrelated, then I added more and got another headache but thought no way could it be the lotion. Then today I used even more argireline and I have the worst head of all. I was fine in the morning/afternoon, and then it started hurting about an hour after it soaked in. I'll have to stop using it for a few days and then start again to make sure it's really the argireline.
My main concern is that this peptide is causing some unknown negative effects to our bodies, thus causing the headache. It's interesting that not everyone gets them, and that some people report that headaches going away after a few weeks (that still troubles me). Has anyone used GABA instead? |

What's the problem? It's one kind of hypersensitivity? How to solve it? |
