I've tried loads of moisturisers but the only one I keep longing to re-purchase is Decleor's Hydra Floral cream. I haven't tried the new formulation yet but as soon as I have the cash it's first on my shopping list.
This cream has everything - gorgeous smell, perfect texture and consistency and it keeps my normal, spot-prone skin nicely hydrated. It's absolute heaven to use |

I haven't heard of this brand, but your post made me really interested in trying it. Keep me posted on your new experience. |

styx - I really can't recommend it enough. The funny thing is, it's so LOVELY to use, I can't even give an unbiased opinion on the results. I think because it's such a pleasure to use I feel better about my skin and so I become better about using it regularly etc.
I was watching QVC yesterday and their beauty expert Alison Young was saying if you are only going to buy one product it should be Hydra Floral as it's just a great, great moisturiser.
Give it a go - it goes really nicely with the Neroli Aromessence too, which also happens to smell fabulous! |

I did some more research online about "Decleor's Hydra Floral cream". It is really an amazing cream, enjoys 5-star ratings on many websites. I haven't found negative feedback on it yet, but it seems to work best for dry skin. I wonder if it will have the same wonderful effect on my combination skin. |

styx7308,
I have normal/combination skin and I tried the Hydra Floral cream before. It did feel a little too rich for my liking. After using 2 sample tubes I did not purchase the full size.
Edited to add that I do have other products from Decleor that I love. Neroli Oil and Essential Balm. |

Wild cat,
Your reply exactly spells out my concern. I am afraid it would be too rich for combination skin, especially in summer time. |

I am not sure I would use it on combination skin. I have a sample of it and I used it on my legs. It is a light emulsion but when I went to wash my hands after, they would not soap up and felt really oily. The cream sank into my legs ok with no oily residue but I always do a test on my hand with a new cream/emulsion/serum. I rub some into my fingers and then see if it will rinse with just water. If it does then my oily skin will be able to use it without breakouts. But if I can't even wash it off with soap then IMO it is breakout bigtime. |

There are two versions of the Hydra Floral Cream; an emulsion which comes in a tube and the cream which comes in a jar. I have combination, sensitive, acne prone skin and found both of these to be fine - although I tend to use the emulsion in summer, I think I actually prefer the results and texture of the cream. |

Queenmary, have you tried Valmont Bio-Regnetic yet? I can't wait to hear your feedback. I am really into Valmont right now after I read some review articles about their technology a few weeks ago. |

Styx, what did the articles say about their technology? Do you think you could you post links to those review articles? Thanks! |

It's a printed article about some really expensive skin care brands. I will try to find it and post some extracts later. |

For me, neroli oil, from decleor, is the best. I too like the Hydra floral moisturiser - have used the emulsion which is lighter in texture than the Hydra floral creme. |

Guerlain orchidee imperiale, expensive, but very nice. It smells great, hydrating but not greasy at all. It makes my skin baby soft |

Anyone using the Cellcosmet Ultra Vital with combo skin that gets drier in the winter with success? Or is the Cellcosmet better with skin that is still oily in the winter? |

I long to buy this again also, but I hesitate because of the new formulation. I haven't tried the new formulation yet, but I am afraid that it will break me out or not work as well as the original did.

im still in search of my fave moisturiser. iv tried a few but none seem to work on my problematic skin. but right now, im using dermalogica's active moist, which is ok, doesnt break me out and my skin moisturised but not too oily, im saying not too, so even tho it says its for oily skin, it doesnt REALLY suit v.oily skin types. so still in search, still reading EDS forums/posts! |
