My skin is really dry on cheek and a bit sensitive but quite oily on T-zone (forehead, nose & chin). Unfortunately, I also have a bit red dots on my cheek, it cames from the old acen..so poor.
Actually, I'm looking for a serum and mask to make my skin more bright and smooth,
I'm living Hong Kong, and I heard that from HK's forum, many girls says both of Sothys & Phytomer is good, how do you think?~
Please suggest if any products are suitable for me~~
Many thanks for both of you!!!~~ |

I would actually just go for plain old Jojoba Oil, it is suitable for both oily and dry skin and would balance your skin out. |

...and maybe an enzyme exfoliant? You could also try drinking more water and taking evening primrose oil to help from within.
BTW Welcome

Thanks both of you!!~
Rosebud - actually what's the function of primrose oil? from which brand?
and regarding the jojoba oil, I have to massage or just apply it on my cheek? any other lotion or serum I have to apply after jojoba oil? and is it greasy?
guapagirl - yes, I'm not drinking more water per day, maybe it's one of the reason~
hey, what's evening primrose oil??? from which brand and how much??~ please let me know more~~ coz my skin really dehydrated & dull... |

I think a gentle exfoliant and a moisturiser is probably what you need. In terms of the gentle exfoliant, I would suggest Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream or Dermalogica Microfoliant. The latter is going to leave your skin more dry than the Dr Hauschka but if you use it gently and not daily you should be fine. Sothys has some really nice creams. I like their Noctuelle, Hydroptimale Gel and also their Liposomes Hydrogel. I prefer those to the Phytomer moisturisers I have tried (which tend to be a bit sticky on me). The Hydroptimale Gel really plumped up my skin without making it oily. It was really fantastic. Mind you, when I used it I had combo skin. My forehead was a bit oily but not a lot.
Btw, I would also suggest incorporating a vitamin C serum as well. Starting with a concentration of 10%. |

Yes, you know I'm considering purchease cream/ serum/mask from dr Hauschka & Sothys!!~ The products you mentioned sounds good~ let me go to try it!!!
And did you try Dr.Hauschka's Rhythmic night conditioner? I heard that good for both dry/oily skin, it helps to balance the skin, is it really work, and good for dehydrated skin?~
Thanks~ |

I've done a few courses of the Rhythmic night conditioner before and I liked it. I don't think all people would be able to follow the Dr Hauschka "no moisturiser at night" philosophy but I found it surprisingly easy and comfortable. I really like the rhythmic night conditioner but it's also one of those products where it's difficult to really describe what benefit your skin got out of it. I'd buy it again though. |
