I used to use the Skin Biology shampoo and loved it but it has SLS in it. My hair has always sort of fallen out a lot and someone on here said that SLS made their hair fall out. What are some recommendations for shampoos that do not contain SLS but leave hair silky and shiny?

Where do you live? In the U.S., you can get sulfate-free shampoos at health food stores like Whole Foods. I believe Aubrey’s Organic is SLS, and I know that a brand called “J.A.S.O.N” is sulfate-free and available at health food stores for less than $10USD per bottle.

At the higher end of the price scale, all Pureology products are completely sulfate free, but they cost about twenty bucks per 16-oz bottle.

And then there is a sulfate-free shampoo that you can get at your local Walgreens pharmacy called “Paves - No Sulfates Allowed, Shine Repairing Shampoo” at costs less than $7.00. Paves also has a nice matching conditioning milk, and their shine serum is to-die for! Perform a search of the board using “Paves” and “CareKate” as the keywords to find my product review and “testimonials” from other satisfied EDS members!

Thanks. I knew there were quite a few out there and was looking for ones that were good. I think I'll try Aubrey first as I can get it at the local health food store. I want to see if there is any impact on how much hair loss I have.
