Hi, I was wondering, since some people told me.
Is it true that anti-aging being used on young skin like...17 yrs and up, it will do more harm than good?
This product (it's intensive line defense) doesn't say "anti-aging" but it prevents lines and wrinkles...is that the same thing?? |

Hi and Welcome
I have heard that it isn't good to use too much in the way of anti aging stuff (particularly retinols etc) because they may cause skin thinning.
That said, I think using an anti-oxidant such as a vit C serum is beneficial to all ages of skins and if you are really serious about keeping your youthful looks, then sunscreen is a must as well as most skin which looks 'old' is photodamaged.
Using SPF and C serum in conjuntion with a non-smoking, low alcohol and healthy diet, will stave off the signs of aging far better than any snake oil potions.
Pity I didn't have myself to give me this advice 25 years ago

Sounds like you are young (very young) . At your age the best gift you could give your skin is a PREVENTATIVE routine. Wash (morning and night). In the evening if you need a moisturizer use one suited to your skin. It does not have to be expensive.
Day: Vit. C Serum of 10% and a good sunscreen. Both of these topical will prevent premature aging to your skin.
If you have other issues (breakouts etc.) there are other products that will greatly help.
