With my dry skin, I shouldn't use powder at all, yet I couldn't stand the feeling of foundation on my skin. I tried mineral make-up, but it dried my skin out, so I thought I was stuck with my concealer+loose powder routine. But I was wrong!
I have found my perfect foundation. It is liquid, not too matte, not sticky, blends in easily, and doesn't give a mask-like appearance. And it doesn't seem to dry my skin more out. The name of the wonder?
Helena Rubinstein Color Clone
With my medium-toned skin, I found a perfect match in #23 Biscuit.
I am really happy! |

Another good one for when you don't want to feel as though you're wearing any foundation, but that gives fantastic coverage, is Classified's Era Spray Foundation.
Unfortunately, it is really expensive. Not sure how much in the US, but £45 (approx $81.50) in the UK!
If you want the can to last longer, you can always spray a little onto your hand and then apply it with fingers or a brush. Not so wasteful as spraying and it still looks brilliant. At least you don't need any concealer underneath - which is just as well, considering the price. |

I was so sad when Bergdorf Goodman stopped carrying HR and they closed the shop in SoHo
Anyone know if it's possible to get HR products in the US anymore? |

I'd be really interested if someone has suggestions. I do not wear a lot
of make up but there are times when a sheer foundation would be great. I've tried a few but don't really like those I have. |

Diorskin Pure Light is also quite sheer and natural-looking on the skin, but Color Clone is better, because it is not sticky at all. |

Sorry, no. L'Oreal (the company that owns Rubenstein) gave it a try in North America at Bergdorf's in the USA and the now defunct Eaton's, then later Holt Renfrew (in Canada), but it never picked up any steam. They shut down the North American distribution in 2004.
It is still highly popular in Europe, so try EBay. |

I have tried Neutrogena Skin tint and I liked it. It was very light...one tube matches a few skin tones. It dosent cover blemishes or scars but it evens out the skin and gives it a dewy look. |
