I would use a firming product... like JB's SkinPrep and ADCE. People seem to get amazing results from it! |

Retin-A products (tretinoin)thicken the skin considerably so help to firm it up. The sagging is from loss of thickness/elasticity...collagen layer is thinning, elastin bundles degrading over time...this happens from sun exposure, stress, smoking, etc. Retin-A takes a while to show results but it is the strongest topical available to reverse sun damage and fine wrinkling/loss of firmness.
Vitamin C serums are also good at helping firm the skin as l-ascorbic acid is necessary for us to synthesize collagen. The more collagen synthesis, the thicker that layer, the firmer, smoother the skin looks.
Sunscreen, as usual, is an imperative for preventing the damage that thins the skin and leads to sagging.
All that said, for an "instant" solution, featherlifts and fillers such as Restylayne are available to pull the area up and plump it up. The "makemeheal" board has info on these. |
