Shock Please help, I seem to be going through so many different products but can't get my skin right. Im 21 with sensitive combination skin, i get congestion and spots in the t-zone area only. I am currently using:

Cleanser: Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser
Toner: Dermalogica Multi Active Toner
Moisturise: Dermalogica Active Moist
Booster: Dermalogica Special cleansing gel

I have been using Dermalogica products for about 3 months and although my skin is better than it was i still keep getting quite a few spots and congestion in the t-zone. I have heard a lot of good comments about Henry Tianus products and i didn't know as they don't have any parabens in their products whether this makes them better?

Please can someone with similar skin condition give me some suggestion with regards to products, i want my skin to be CLEAR!

Thanks in advance,
Sophie Smile

I really like MDF glycolic cleanser for clearing up congestion. I tend to break out on my jawline when I get spots. If that one area is breaking out, but the rest is okay, I would be tempted to do regular aspirin masks on that area. You could do it all over, I do, but it may not help you sensitive skin. Doing it on the troubled area only will let you do it there more often. The aspirin mask is great, IMO, for bringing everything to the surface, and keeping pores clean. Also, what about a spot treatment. I use one by Physiodermie, but want to try YonKa Juvenile when this one runs out. Maybe start with small changes, and see how you go from there. Smile I am sure others will have a plethora of information and ideas for you too!

i don't have any recommendations but thought the following info may be helpful.
according to zerozits.com the parabens (perservatives) ethylparaben, methylparaben, propylparaben, and propyleneparaben all rate 0 out of a possible 5 for both comedogenicity
and irritancy.

Regarding the Henry Tianus products, they list their full ingredients on their site, and they seem to be a completely natural product.. no parabens or synthetic chemicals of any sorts.

Since you like Dermalogica maybe try the Special Clearing Booster. It's specifically for blemishes. It can be used all over or to spot treat and I like it because it disappears so you can wear make-up over it.

Also, I've just run out of my small Dermalogica Special Clearing Booster and ordered Paula's Choice version (Extra Strength Blemish Fighting Solution) and the texture is identical. The price is way better. Paula's is $14.95 US for 4 ounces, Dermalogica is $66 CA for 1 ounce. Both have soothing ingredients but for sure Paula's has parabens, are looking for paraben free? I'm almost positive Dermalogica has parabens in it too.

I also like Paula's beta hydroxy lotions and liquids for blemish control. The one Dermalogica beta hydroxy product I tried irritated my skin a lot and didn't help with zits at all.
