Sensitive skin with combination T zone.
AM:
Lemon Face wash from mountainroseherbs
Thayer Rose Petal Witchhazel toner
Sometimes one of the serums from Garden of Wisdom
Wild Rose oil from mountainroseherbs
PM
Lemon Face Wash or homemade Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream
Same Toner
I dont moisturise at night, my skin seems to love it.
Masks:
Twice a week: Aspirin mask ( the version with yogurt, honey and sugar)
Once a week facial steam with some herbs I have on hand at that moment, then clay mask (currently I am using french green clay) and then rosewater and some light DIY facial blend oil.
I keep it simple, I truly believe our skin absorbs everything we put on it, so no chemicals whatsoever!!! |

I've been lurking for several weeks now--found myself addicted to this sight. It's so hard to take in so much info. I feel like I've found the fountain of youth here.
I'm 51 and have become skin obsessed in recent weeks. Would love to start a new routine, but I want something simple.
I've noticed that trying to turn back the hands of time--takes quite a bit of time!
I've started using C serum and retinol and I do see a difference. I even believe this dry brushing thing is even working.
When I look at some of the regimens that some are doing--they are using quite a few products. I can't really afford to spend so much $$ on products. I would like a simple one--what products are absolutes--Copper Peptides, Vitamin C, Retinol, etc? |

I was having a lot of issues with my skin since last year, until I attended a home party and the skin consultant advised me to follow a system everyday
In the morning - I clean my face with a cleanser, tone, moisturize skin with spf 15,apply good makeup to protect skin from environmental damage, drink a lot of water throughout the day,at night wash face properly with cleanser, tone skin, apply night cream, and once a week, apply scrub and my skin is great
I love her products and my skin consultant is just great, she knows what is my budget and she gives me the best products @ affordable price and I love my skin because of her. She never oversells to me, In fact if I try to go over my budget, she takes care of me.
She offers me a great customer service by personalizing my skin needs |

I have lurked here off and on for some time, and finally decided to join in. So posting my routine seemed like a good place to start.
AM
Cleanse: Rinse face with water and a super soft sponge
Tone: Spritz with hydrosol (Neroli at the moment)
Moisturize: A few drops of organic argan oil applied to my still damp face
Mineral makeup if I am going out (which also acts as a sunscreen)
PM
Cleanse: Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) if I have makeup on (organic coconut oil)
Cleanse: Rinse face with water and a super soft sponge (if no makeup)
Tone: Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel (no alcohol)
Moisturize: Argan oil (or sometimes Emu Oil) applied to my damp face
WEEKLY
Deep OCM with lots of facial massage
MONTHLY
Paula Begoin 2% BHA Gel
Glacial clay mask
CONSIDERING ADDING:
Light Therapy System of some type
Some sort of serum for face and eye area
AREAS OF CONCERN:
I have some broken capillaries from having rosacea. My skincare changes have cured the rosacea, but the broken caps remain. I would be interested in finding a treatment that works, if one exists.
Anti-aging - - my skin looks great for my age, and I would like to keep it that way. I am consistently told I look 15 – 20 years younger than my age. I would like to keep my skin from aging for as long as possible, so if adding to or changing my skin care routine would help, I would be quite interested.
Any suggestions appreciated! |
