update!
This is my new, parisian hard water routine; I've made a lot of adjustments.
am:
--drink lemon water and 4 glasses additional room temperature filtered water to flush out toxins and flood the cells
--wash with osea cleansing milk, cotton pads, and avene mist (no tap water)
--apply talika lipocils
--apply epicuren's hydro plus with PSF's HA serum and a couple of drops of Epicuren's bulgarian rose otto worked in
--apply osea's eyes and lips to, what else, eyes and lips
--apply avene's creme mineral spf 50
--light dusting of lorac's translucent powder on t-zone (eagerly awaiting Julie Hewitt's mineral powder)
pm
--wash with osea and avene mist
--talika lipocils (love this stuff)
--apply osea's advanced protection cream with ha over the top
--mist with sanoflore's rosewater before bed (calming)
2x week:
--SC retinol 1.0% 1/2 hour to 1 hour before applying osea's APC
--aspirin mask (4 uncoated bayer, a dollop of yogurt and a half-dollop of honey)
--osea hydrating mask in mornings if my skin needs a boost, or always before I go out at night.
all week: drink lots of water and eat lots of green vegetables with my dinners at night.

Morning:
Wash with seabuckthorn berry soap (from seabuckthorn.com)
Ice Elements anti-aging serum
Evening:
Wash with seabuckthorn soap
PSF O2 rescue serum
IE AA serum
If I need extra moisture, I dab on Anti-Aging Balm from Eden's Kiss (I highly recommend their products).
IE 2MM 1-2 times/week
My 49-year old skin looks great! Love that AA serum. It has actually made my broken capillaries fade. |

Well since my last post the end of October, my routine has, once again, changed alot. I'm pretty much now using Ice Elements exclusively to give it a fair shot.
AM:
Revitalizing Gel Cleanser
Spot treat pigmented spots with Radiance Skin Souffle
Anti-Aging Serum
Radiance IlluminEyes Serum
Eye Cream
Moisturizer (N/O)
Remergent SPF30 (when I'll be out during the day)
PM:
Creme Cleanser
Radiance Skin Souffle
Anti-Aging Serum (this will be replaced by the Edelweiss Serum eventually in the PM)
Radiance IlluminEyes Serum
Eye Cream
Moisturizer (N/D)
Others:
2 Minute Miracle Exfoliating Gel - every 2nd day
Squalane - when/where I need extra moisture
Blueberry Mask - 1x or 2x/week
Tools:
Clarisonic - most nights
Quasar SP - every 5 days (have only had 2 treatments so far)
Thoughts on this routine compared to my last (which was IS Clinical and Aloette) ... the IS Clinical definitely helped control my breakouts and I believe I saw a slight brightening of my skin using these products (Super Serum and Active Serum). After switching to IE (it's been about 4 weeks now), I think I have seen more brightening of my skin. Pigmented spots are the same, but that's something that will take time to see any results. I did experience a brief period of breakouts right after starting the new routine, but they calmed down and since then it's been fine. I'm trying both the N/O and N/D products to find the best match for me. I think I might be seeing SOME lightening of one of my under eye circles, however it's been this past week I've noticed it which is about a week after my first Quasar SP treatment, so I'm not sure if it's because of the eye serum, the SP or the fact that I've had a cold and maybe it made my eyes more puffy?
I am waiting to receive their acne serum which I'll use to spot treat, as well as the Radiance Refining Cleanser which I'll use 3 times a week at night. So far I'm really pleased with these products, although time will tell (since it's only been about a month). The areas I am hoping to see improvement on are some blackheads, hyperpigmentation, large pores and those darn dark circles! |

I am 27 with normal/combination skin (means oilier T-zone, no dryness), living in New Zealand in this hot summer! Since I started the following routine my skin has been looking great without breakouts. The old acne scars have almost faded now. The only problem is skin becoming shiny in the afternoon due to sunscreen use, which I can do nothing about it.
Cleansing and toning:
Trilogy Balancing Gel Cleanser or just warm water (AM)
Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Lotion and cotton pads (PM makeup remover)
The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash (PM)
The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner
Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub (weekly on T-zone only)
Moisturising and sun protection:
Trilogy Eye Contour Cream (AM & PM)
Hamilton Everyday Face Light Moisturising Cream SPF 30+ (AM)
Alba Botanica Aloe & Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer (PM)
Treatments:
Trilogy Rosehip Oil (PM under eyes before applying eye cream)
Lush the Sacred Truth or Wow Wow mask (twice a week) |

My routine has changed slightly since October. I have since incorporated PSF's Eye cream and Microdermabrasion cream and really really like them. ISC Active/Firming are the products that I've used consistently for several months now .
AM:
Cleanse - trying out Yon-ka Gel Nettoyant
Zenbiotic Oxytoner
Candessence Triple C
ISC Hydrocool or plain HA if necessary
PSF Superhydrating Eye Cream (mix with PSF Cranberry eye gel if I have puffiness)
sunscreen/makeup
PM:
Cleanse - trying out Epicuren Gelle Cleanser
Ep II or PSF Microderm scrub (every other nt)
Zenbiotic Oxytoner
ISC Active
ISC Firming Cream or ISC Hydrocool
Remergent Micro (if I remember)
PSF Superhydrating Eye Cream
A couple times a week - sulfur clay mask -- I also like the Dr H Rejuvenating Mask when my skin's looking tired.

Can anyone help?? My skin is going through a very peculiar phase!!! Itchy red cheek bones(using ISC Pro heal). Flushing( No, I dont drink too much alcohol...)and it's just very uncomfortable. Maybe its the water in my house, I dont know. I need/want a mask that will calm and hydrate for real. Beware, I have tried MANY..and also maybe a cleanser that really works but doesn't need to be washed off with water. Can you guys please give some good brands to try or something you have tried that really worked on tricky skin. |

Mine is kinda simple
Morning
--Neal's Yard Palmarosa Facial Wash (smells great, quick/easy, pretty bottle, doesn't dry skin)
--Liz Earle Skin Repair Light (basic moisturiser, smells fab, nice pump dispenser, non-comedogenic)
--Liz Earle eye cream/ Lush Enchanted Eye cream (both depending on the humidity of the day - the former is heavier)
--La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Aqua-Lait Sunscreen SPF50+, IPD90, PPD28 (fantastic UVA protection, unscented, only a bit tacky, but I put up with that because of the great PPD. No breakouts so far.)
Night
--Lush Ultrabland Cleanser (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS my skin is never better than when I use this, it's like OCM but with beeswax and essential oil and rosewater etc.)
--Halzephron Almond Oil (always reliable)
Occasionally (1/2 X week)
--Lush Mask of Magnaminty (excellent! GREAT PRICE smells great, not harsh and it works so goos at getting my skin really clean and more refined)
--Etré Dead Sea Mineral Facial Peel (very good, expensive, but you only need a tiny bit, smells nice, not harsh and cleans my pores like nothing else)

My routine was pretty static for ages...am wash with water, C serum agireline and emu. PM, wash water or ocm, copper peps and emu. I introduced skinbio exfol in the am and pm and was pleased with the results, but decided to ramp everything up a bit, so now I'm doing this:
AM:
Wash water,
10% lactic acid gel for 1-2 mins and wash off
Vit C serum wait long as poss
agireline/ matrixyl serum. I used to use just around the eyes, but I now use over whole face
emu and greentea /HA mix
Make up.
PM
Water wash or OCM if I have make up on
Avene ystheal
emu oil.
I will add super cop serum to this when I get some in. Ran out just as I got my Avene!
I'm very happy with my skin at the moment and REALLY impressed with the lactic acid!

Hi, I hope your skin is doing better now. Here is what I do when my skin gets sensitive/allergic. I soak the popup masks in Avene spring water, use it as masks a few times a day if possible. That will help to calm the skin down. Between masks, I use la mer lotion or cream if my skin gets too dry, just a tiny little bit. If you don't use la mer, cetaphill cream should work too.
Hope this helps. |
