Probably a bit of both. Laughing It took em about a week to do it right. What did you do exactly? How did you apply it?

I've only ever used the loose powder, along with the little Handi brush, and it's worked really well for me.

I swirl the Handi brush in the powder that sifts out into the lid of the container, making sure that the brush is evenly covered but not overladen. Then I swirl the brush over the top of my face. I repeat this process with one side of my face, then with the other.

Most of the time this is sufficient cover for me, but you can always try layering it - only a little at a time, though, so you don't end up with a caked-on look.

I really do love my JI loose powder and hope you can get it to work for you. Best of luck! Very Happy

I would advise you to buy the Handi to be sure.
Whilst both the Jane Iredale and the Bare Escential powder bases did not work for me the Handi brush has become my most prized beauty tool Laughing , I use it with my MAC base, also for my bronzer, blusher.....it really is the best brush.

I found the liquid JI worked better for me than the loose or pressed. After a exhausting search JI , Glo Minerals, Joe Blasco I have discovered that the JI really is the best for me. I use the flocked sponge

But how did you apply it? Did you sweep it over your face like one would with regular powder? You have to kind of *buff* it on, in little circles. Put the smallest amount on your brush and do a small area...keep doing that process all over your face. Once you have done it once, do another layer. I don't need much coverage, so 1 or 2 layers is enough fo me. One of my friends needs more coverage, so she applies about 4 thin layers. The trick is less product, and more buffing, IMO.

Has anyone tried the Jane Iredale shimmers makeup containing real gold? Is it good or is it a marketing gimmick?
