I purchased Glominerals make-up from a local store. The saleswoman matched my skin to Golden Fair. I thought I looked pasty and ghostly; so did my family. I returned to the same store (two days latter) and another saleswoman matched me to Natural Medium. Much better, but still a bit off. I have a fair amount of redness in my skin, so I was really suprised that the warm colors were not recommended for me.
I wondered if Jane Iredale might be a better match for me. Does anyone know what shades from Glominerals closely mirror Jane Iredale's line?

Sounds like you have hard to match skin tone like me! And you state you have a bit of redness in your skin. This sounds soooo familiar. I cannot help you with the shade choices, but I would advise you to keep going back until you feel you have an appropriate match that looks natural and that you feel comfortable and confident with. It's difficult to assess under the store lights. I have this problem, even with professionally trained senior makeup artists with impeccable reputations. I've learned that it's the truly good ones who verbally acknowledge to me that my skin tone is a challenge to match and they take the time and the effort to try different shades, and brands.
Glominerals Sunlit is the PERFECT bronzer for me year round. I've tried several brands and shades within these brands and always go back to my Glominerals. It's very natural looking on my skin. Guerlain Terraotta is my second favorite when in need of more "glow" at night.

I really didn't want to keep going back to the same establishment to have them try to match my skintone to the Glominerals. Since we only have one supplier of Glominerals in town, I was looking to change to JI if their foundations were different. I saw where several establishments in town carried JI and thought it might be more compatible with my skintone..... |
