I use the Cellular Skin Rx's 12% C+ Firming serum. I like it very much. It's stable and it soaks in very quickly. Vivier and skinceuticals are also popular brands here.

My favorite is SkinMedica Vitamin C Complex. It's a 15% very stable silky gel (milky white)with both C & E and comes in a tube. It does have a high silicone content so beware if your skin can't tolerate cones. On my skin it sinks right in and leaves a matte look. This is the only Vit C that I have ever re-purchased and the only one that seems to make a difference for my skin. I'm on my third tube and have never had a problem with it oxidizing.

The C's I've tried include SC CE Ferulic, Cellex-C Advanced C Serum and Advanced Eye Toning Gel, Obagi Cffectives and CellularSkinRx. It's just a matter of finding the right one for you. Unfortunately, it's an expensive experiment. Good luck and hope this helps!

I agree that you need to find the C serum that is right for you. I have tried Cellex C, CellularSkin RX, Janson Becketts C&C. Cellex C was too drying for my skin, CellularSkin RX a tad too oily. JB's C&C is perfect for my combo skin. Good luck in your search for the perfect C for you. Your skin type play a big role in the brand you choose (dry, oily, combo). Good luck. Smile

I found the same thing as Winnie - I prefer certain formulations based on my skin type. Vivier, JB C&C and PSF have been the best for my normal/combo skin. If I had very dry skin I'd go with CSRx, if I had oily skin I'd go with Cellex-C and some of the Skinceuticals serums. That is not to say that you cannot use others - for example I am currently using a Cellex-C 17.5% serum on my normal skin (and yes, I have found it a tad drying though my skin seems to have mostly got used to this....).

I found for acne prone skin, Henry Tianus Antioxidant Purifying Serum (10% vitamin C) is very good and doesn't seem to cause any break out! It does also contain pro-vitamin B5 and organic purifying botanical extract to regulate the oil production.

Hi! Sorry to hijack your thread - I usually use PSF Skincares C serum but I've been given a Philosophy gift set that includes their Hope and a Prayer Vitamin C powder which you are supposed to add to your moisturiser. Has anyone used this? Is it as effective as a serum?

Thanks
Very Happy

I've used it, Lucia. I quite liked it, but didn't find it as effective as a serum on my skin. I also found the measuring out with the little spoon and mixing with a serum or face cream a bit of a faff.

I thought that had iron oxides in it which were supposed to degrade C? Thought metals were not good to put with C....Maybe that's why it did not work as well.

What do you all think about Awake Vital Express? It goes from powder to liquid upon contact with the skin...

Sounds cool. I think I saw that on another website and wondered how it would go on and feel. C is very stable in a powder form so that would be a good solution to the stability issue. If you use it, please report back on your experience.
