Hi!
I have been using Avene Extreme Sunblock cream 60A/60B which I always bought at Boots Chemist, I went in the other day to get another tube and they didn't have it - only avene 50+ ultra (both in orange tubes). The extreme isn't mentioned in the insert anymore either. ow I understand that the 'powers that be' in Europe have decided that you can't use an SPF number on a product that is mor ethen 50 - it has to read now as 50+, so I bought the 50 +. But it smells different and has a slightly different texture and it doesn't explain how goog the UVA protection is whereas the Extreme did. (Blinkin Europe - no SPFs over 50, bananas that have to a particular shape and deciding our chocolate isn't chocolate - its chocolate flavoured vegetable fat Shock - ohh yummy - NOT).

Can anyone tell me if the 50+ will give the same protection as the 60A/60B?

Thanks!!!

Lucia, I am 99% certain that the answer is yes. The 50+ orange spray is the one I have, and they may well have changed it down to 50% because of the new French SPF laws. But then I am not certain whether these new laws apply to the rest of Europe ...

where is the best online place to purchase the Avene (and LRP) products?

Do you get charged a special fee to get it brought over the border? ie. I live in Canada, whenever I order things from the States, I get charged a hefty fee (in addition to the shipping charge) for someone to physically bring it over the border crossing.
